The reason why I said this was from one of the last weeks of Season 3 is because the ToC originally required 15 5-day players from the previous season from September-June of the previous season(and since Season 3, Teen, College and Senior winners and Sept. thru July of the previous season). Since the 10th Anniversary Tournament in '93, the qualifications for the ToC hiked up to up to 1 or 2 weeks before the $100K ToC.

You're right; the copyright date on this was 1987, but this was recorded in August 1988 so I had thought this was a repeat from the beginning of season 4.
Was WPRI airing the live lottery drawings at this time?
