I tried with a piece of lead (with another non-returning) advised by user "pucikam" : not so obvious to get a long flat straight flight. But actually, my aim would be to make a "perfect" non-returning boomerang only by means available in a primitive culture.

@freejutube LOL no what I meant was tie a fish line to it so you can pull it back to you after throwing. Just kidding of course. I think your throw is really good. The kylie your throwing has a nice smooth flight. Balance of the Kylie is very key. Seems as though yours might have to much weight at one end due to the extra material and shapes. Practice, practice. You'll get it.

Great looking stick at any rate. Seems real hard to get on target, though. How is the range compared to a rabbit stick? (non airfoil throwing club)

Also, I love the target "animal" but it needs giant googly eyes.

yes, it's hard (for me) to hit the target ; more training would help, and also a better profile (for more stability) ; useful range = ~25 meters for this particular stick ; but it flies to 50 meters ; (didn't try any rabbit stick yet) ;

thanks ; I was trying to get flatter flights. The holy grail : straight flat flights over long distances (~100 m). Instead, you may obtain curved or soaring flights, or diving trajectories, or a light boomerang that doesn't go very far. Some of the behaviours of a problematic shape may be corrected by adding weight, or shifting the center of mass, or increasing the drag (downwards or upward) somewhere. [I don't hunt for real ; this kylie is "dangerous", even for humans].
