Chuck you're a great artist and as you say there's not many of US around, it's true... at least it's oil pain on canvas and not some swellheaded plexiglass crap called "conceptual" art. You're real.

By the way everyone runs to see the impressionists and the figurative artists in shows and musuems...wonder why?

Hey Dudley-THANKS. Certain(often pretend artists-like critics or gallery owners) don't understand what it's like. Most of the world's greatest artists,were mostly bat-shit crazy. ( Anyone remember a severed ear sent as a loving atonement?)

OK-barrika7-I'm a little confused,an artist can be many things.I was a singer in a band for a few years,went to art school,but I never created anything because I wanted to "arrive,and live to tell about it".I did it because I LOVED IT-all of it. Singing,drawing,painting,danci­ng,writing. I made my comment because I love Chuck. The two most amazing art projects I've ever done,are my two children-as corny as that sounds,it's 100% true.So,are you a "present artist"yourself? Just wondering.

Connelly's paintings, as seen on the HBO special, are a wild mish-mash of subjects and styles. There's no coherence, direction or method to his art that I can see. I guess that could be sort of charming if Connelly himself wasn't such an abusive, angry person. Also, why does he sound so Gay sometimes? Is he mocking Gay people? Tough to care about this character.

I saw his documentary on HBO. Love his work but this is a man the truly suffers for his art. Its so much of his soul that he has a very difficult time in selling it.
