  • @JeanLouisBarrault Well, if you say you don't like Travis is an opinion. But saying that Travis is mediocre music is not true.. Musically speaking, Travis albums are better than Killers one, just see the music lines and arrangements.. They had a great success even before the Killers became a band... Both bands are great, just different styles.. Maybe Fran playing acoustic is kind of simple after Travis, but it doesn't mean is mediocre. He's just great, and not everybody can do it as well as him!

  • @isaaco89 Very well said and true, i think Fran Healy is the most under rated singer/songwriter out there. He done a solo album last year called Wreckorder and i just heard it on youtube last week for the first time. Amazing album and for me Fran Healy is the best singer/songwriter but don't care about that it's just great to hear such amazing talent.

  • thanks for uploading this!

  • Could people please stop the bullshit-comments and just enjoy this wonderfull moment of 2 amazing frontmen!!!!

  • well, I've read everything about Travis I could and listened to as much music as was available before I made my statement. It's just my personal opinion that it is totally mediocre music. I don't judge bands by fan base, but I was speaking as far as "draw."Also, I think Phish had a giant fan base too as did the Grateful Dead, but I don't want to see the Killers turn into just one of those weird anti-commercial bands that tours for the tokers. The Killers have class.

  • @JeanLouisBarrault There's nothing wrong in your personal opinion, you probably don't like Travis because you're not a fan of brit rock. I do think the last albums aren't as good as good feeling, the men who and the invisible band, but some of their songs are really good songs, and really have class. I love The Killers too, but they have a different style, more glamourous i think.. I just hope they won't miss the great energy they had in Hot Fuss..

  • Did some one actually say Travis have a small fan base. Absolute joke they have sold millions of albums and maintained their integrity. Long live the man who!

  • i also just wanna add that before they played this song, Brandon said that when they were starting out as a band (Killers- just him and Dave), they tried to present two original songs and a cover of a song from Travis- a band they "were in love with at the time". and that was Side, hence the choice of song to play, this time with Fran.

  • bad choice I think. Travis have a small fan base, small commercial success and mediocre music. Brings Brandon down. He's a bigger act and way more talented.

  • @JeanLouisBarrault

The Killers and Travis are two of my favourite bands, you can't compare their music, but you ca't say Fran Healy isn't a talented songwriter and musician. They wrote amazing songs and played in some of the most important venues, just like The Killers. Their music also inspired Coldplay and other great bands.

With this i don't want to say Brandon isn't talented, i love his songs and his voice! I just wish i had been there to see them singing together..

  • @JeanLouisBarrault to begin with, fan base is never a good gauge for talent- at least not in music, no. i wouldn't wanna mention examples, but at this day and age, you should already know who they are. i don't think that having Fran as Brandon's support would bring him down. It's called support. obviously these are the guys with little to zero fan base. it's the bigger acts (like in this case, brandon) that would hopefully help them get heard by more people. this is a common thing in tours.

  • @JeanLouisBarrault im a big Killers fan as much as i am of Travis. w/ that said, i beg to disagree about Travis producing mediocre music and that brandon is way more talented. again, commercial success does not equate to musical integrity. in fact just comparing flamingo and wreckorder (fran's solo album) would tell you that it's the other way around. critics rave about wreckorder while flamingo received mixed reviews. i like them both equally though. c'mon, friend. was a bit harsh. think again

  • Great show last night! :D

  • Two of my favorite singers/bands united! Amazing!

  • Nice!!!! :D Fran and Bran are ace, class acts!

  • This is brilliant!...i'd forgotten how much I liked Travis!...and well, Brandon, that's an obsession!! :)
