  • hmm, actually we do say g'day and some other things, but don't go too overboard with the slang. funny video though, nice try. :-)

  • you went to australia for two months and you didnt learn we pronounce aussie as ozzy?

  • retard

  • Yeh, im from a small Aussie town and honestly, 'Gday mate' is used to the full extent that the stereotype would suggest. No matter who you're talking to, its always the good ol' "Oh Gday mate, hows it going?".. I guess it would change in different areas throughout Australia though.

  • A lot of people say g'day where I live :S not so many people my age (16) but still

  • You make us sound like retards :(

  • yeah.. I don't actually say g'day very often.

I'm also from Melbourne. Your accent was not great...

  • good effort

  • first of all, when you say 'aussies' .. the two S's in the middle are pronounced as a Z.

  • I think ur Australians haha i can tell!

  • LOL. They're Australians pretending to be Americans.

  • ur austrailan

  • ok, you girls piss me off enough..but when you say auSSie...i want to fucking punch you in the face. OZZIE is not that hard to say...buuut i guess with american intelect..not surprising

  • We dont say gday im an aussie and these a girls a dumb go eat cheese burgers Americans

  • Lame. We aren't Orstralian.

  • Its not Ostralia....a...stralia. And when people say g,day mate I wanna punch them. Its how ya going mate?? Ya retards,

  • kinda funny cause i'm an Australian and I know that you guys are Australian, but when you were "pretending" to sound Australian I thought it still sounded a little American which is weird. American accents are so easy, its hilarious.

  • Well if you look at what country they are in on their profile page it's australia lol

  • i think they are australians pretending to be americans

  • actually not too bad! well done

  • yeah you did well on the left

  • Lol at the people saying 'u suck', they obviously haven't heard an australian talk :P To the aussies saying it... have you heard yourselves talk?

I thought the american might have been fake, but I really can't tell. I think half the americans talking sound fake sometimes :P

  • that was sort of okay

but its pronounced like ozzy as opposed to arssie

  • i love the way americans say aussie....lol

  • that being said, my american accent leaves nothing to be desired... at least u tried! :-)

  • darling, we do say things like g'day.

it's part of who we are... and trying not avoid being 'americanised' ugh!

nice try, but close but no cigar... watch more aussie kath and kim for hints!

  • the general Australian accent you did was pretty spot on

  • eyyyy

    im from Melbourne.

And btw we do say g-day mate and the reason is because were trying to bring back the true Australian.

Not these f-ing poofs that take up space.

Keeps up the good work girls.

    Melbourne Pride!!!!!

  • Good clean fun girls. However it sounded like americans putting on an aussie accent. And aussie is said ozy not with an s. keep up the fun

  • you talk too loud...

  • hey mates yea im from australia down-under and yea you do an alright impersinathion but really no one says "g'day mate" and "down-under" we say hey how are you and yea i come from...sydney. so if anyone ever comes to autralia dont start speaking slang. some people will understand you but not many. also its not just red dirt and you would know if you have been here before but we have nice green grass and colourful trees. its only in the center of australia where thay have dead grass and red dirt

  • Yea we actually do say g'day girls lol

  • Haha its Australia Prenouced like OS-TRAY-LEEIA.

  • Haha.. looks like you girls had lots of fun!... I like that!

You did okay, I guess!... But I couldn't do an American accent if I wanted to!

Oh and one more thing... it's "OZZIES" not "Ossies"... I know thats a simple pronounciation mistakes Americans make, but you'll learn! lol.. which is weird.. because Canadians, UK'ers & everyone else around the world seem to say it right, yet you guys can't... xD

    I enjoyed the video, thanks!

  • girl on the left is okay, girl on the right...we dont talk like stereotypes lol

  • the girl on the left definately got it and no were not all bogans as people say we are not so many people use heaps of slang anymore

  • did that person just say aussies with a s sound? its aussies with a zed sound

  • yeah they all say auSSie...weird

  • the girl on the left did a pretty good job...one the right? not so good lol.

  • ROFL! I'm Aussie xD

Not much of the aussies have the accent though!

Yes, some people do say 'G'day Mate' lol

    It was pretty good :D

  • uhhh ohhhh

  • We aren't "Aussssies" We're Aussies (With a zed sound)

  • lol.. im aussie. and the girl on the left did well haha.. good job

  • that was pretty good

the hi hows it going was reallly really good

    if u searched on wikipedia

on how to pronounce the letters like an aussie

    it should help

    peacee

  • Not bad. I rekon we don't say G'day that much cause everyone says we say it. One thing though Why do Americans say Ossies with an sss sound. Its like fingernails on a chalk board. Its a z sound. We already have enough snakes. Short and sharp.

  • im aussie and i live in one of the major cities(melbourne) i say g'day mate and most of that sterotypical stuff. the crazy thing is i learned it because thats how my dad talks and hes from egypt!

  • cool story

  • i am australian:)

I think that was preety good the "hi hows it going?" was excellent:) Thanks for not doin the whole gday mate:) nobody says that:)

  • don't want to offend us? don't try 'imitating' us!! plus, your 'normal' accents sound crazy fake, like an Australian badly trying to impersonate an american. I'm australian btw.

  • ummm you guys seem like you are australian. your american accents suck and your australian accent is too normal. i cant believe it has taken this long for someone to realize

  • u guys really really do suck

  • U SUCK!

  • u pretty good at it...and true about the gday, when i worked at manly all the tourist where always saying gday haha and i was just like...yer....hello

  • worse australian accent ever!!!

  • really good

  • G'day mate!

  • Alot of us say G'day. We constantly say G'day, we say G'day at night (Not day.) We say G'day in the mornining (Kinda day.) We say it wherever we go.

  • we actually do say g'day mate. well, us country folk do anyway

  • hahahahhahaaaaaa

  • that was quite good actually from the one on the left anyway,

Don't take any notice of the first comment, it sounded Australian to me,

I hate it when all the other americans put in a Brittish accent when trying to talk like us, obviously they dont know what we sound like in the first place, if u were here for 2 months obviously u know what we sound like

  • That was SO lame - not even close. It confirms my belief that Americans cannot do Australian accents. Please stop trying, because it just offends us.

  • suck it up princess... as if people having a go at something as trivial as our accent offends us.
