It is somewhat accurate - is lacks a lot of random-ness from the manga- but other than actual levels in a temple, the game is pretty accurate. and Zelda doesn't change genders in the manga either, Her triforce of Wisdom allows her to change attire and her Zelda spirit gets locked away while this new "Sheik" takes over...

Sheik is a woman disguised as a male. Because of her mask, the only thing Link and Ganon can perceive her as, is an athletic shadow knight - something along those lines... Impa and Zelda know that Sheik is a woman, but to everyone else, the "athletic" Sheikah is ASSUMED to be male. There are no visible signs of breasts in comparison to other female characters, so Sheik is assumed to be male because Sheik never says she's not one. Think Twelfth Night - Viola Cesario.

Ok in the terms of temples, the forest took only 25 minutes since it was the first one and I remembered it better than the others. Fire took me 45 to and hour. Water...about 2 1/2 hours. Shadow...don't get me started. Spirit took me 50 to an hour and 15 minutes, yes I timed myself.

fire goes quick, i had to do it twice cause my n64 fucked up so i had to restart it=[ but yehh 35-45 min sounds alright, water takes forever, but 25 min for forest thats fuckin well done.

Shadow took me half the time of Water, but I got lost a lot. Forest is the easiest since its the first one, fire can be either easy or hard depending on how good you are. Water is just too damn long. Spirit was probably the best one IMO.
