@virgincowsteven i'm sorry but this is not a brown widow, this is a classic black widow and i can tell you because i have both of them in my room (and some other species) and even the egg sac is from a black widow... the brown widow one is unmistakable
im pretty sure i come across these spiders very often at work. i work as a pest controller and tend to find very similar in the rodent bait stations. they tend to look like a brown Red back spider.
That egg sac looks smooth which indicates a black widow. The brown widow has a distictive spikey egg sac. I can take a video of it on my patio if you like.
Alrighty. BTw my office is covered with them outside...I've even found them under people's desks. They are twice as venomous as a black widow, but much less dangerous because they only inject a minute amount of venom when they bite. Ironically, the nearby health dept is covered with them too.
a few states away. Do you want the egg sacs off my patio...I think there's four or five out there. The spiders deteriorate fast when they're dead and I don't want to mail live ones.
I still have the bottle, and I can send it to you. The brown widow is still alive and kicking, but I want to keep the spider. I don't even know if I could mail a live brown widow. That might be against the law. But, if you want the bottle, send me your address, and I will mail it.

It was spikey, but the Power Ade made it soft and it got squished when I first put it in the bottle.
