It's astonishing how Hiroshima has only garnered a small fanbase. They have more talent than 90% of the bands today (not to mention they make amazing music). I especially like how in this song and "Why Can't I Love You" they have the whole band backing the lead singer.

I saw them in concert when the original title for 1000 cranes was 1000 tear drops truly amazing musicians it was incredible watching her play once in a life time.

I remember seeing them when they were touring for this CD and yes...Machun was with them...this voice is one of a kind and I was swooning by the end of this song.

You are welcome! I'll have to find that Arsenio Hall footage I taped of this song being performed. "Machun" was a great singer live, and was stunning looking too! I believe Hiroshima has gone through about 4-5 soloists after her(?) Their last 2 albums were instrumental. I once met June Kuramoto in person, and she was very nice and shy.

Thank you for this! I too remember their performance on the Arsenio show. I think I still have it somewhere on tape(?) I noticed a few tiny variations in the lyrics and what was sung, so I wonder if that is the singer or a typing error? By the way, I thought "Machun" was Korean, but it turns out her full name is Margaret Sasaki-Taylor.
