Often, something involving food goes over well. Maybe, a cook-off for charity, where people buy a ticket to taste and judge. You'd have to find cooks to sign up and to let people know, but it's fun for everybody.
Have fun at Disneyland! Treat the cast members fair.

as of yet the only idea i have is if you know any people in bands who are doing gigs or ask the bandsociety at uni (if they have one) if they'll mention it on stage and you can wander around the audience with a donations bucket doing a dance. i am attempting to think of better ones...
