If you say so,but the fact that Sagat has insane reach,massive power,wickedly fast attacks,AND can take more then average punishment, means you're in for a world of pain if you don't have strategy. The only con Sagat has is slower then average basic movement,but since he has fast attacks he may as well have no weaknesses. I came close with Rufus,but so far I can only win againist Sagat with Ryu and Gouken.

He's ranked S because before the update, with super you could take 75% of someones energy. You can ultra off of trading hits, his Tiger Knee has INSANE priority, and his standing HK's hitbox is MASSIVE. not to mention 8 different fireballs. he is a fucking beast.

You should see Sagat in SF4, he's not someone to screw with in that game. Why you ask? He's the only character to be ranked Class S, the overall best character in the entire FREAKIN GAME!!!

I agree Sagat is the best charachter in SF4 but, Ryu should also be classed as S. The amount of sheer nonsence with his Suer, Ultra etc.  His combo linkages are insane = /. I wish they'd give some priority to other charachters for a change and not just the cntral set. Although I am not looking for Chun Li in Alpha 2, that shit is nasty.

SF4 is wicked awesome but once Alpha gets online play,I can't see SF4 with as many players as it does now.

Really,you must be quite skilled. Still,fighting Sagat and Zangief is nuts in SF4. They have the highest attack and defense in the game. I can't tell you how many times I lost to Zangief when I thought I had him beat.

Lol, I never lose to zangief, I know all the cheap tricks. As long as I'm using ken or ryu, there's no way zangief can grab me or hit me. Sagat takes alot of patience to fight, but he's not a problem.

I am a Ryu user for the most part,Ken is too arrogant for my style. Aside from that,I faced one Sagat user and I was just barley able to chain into Ryu's Ultra for the win. I thought I was done for. And Zangief? Only when I face children using him can I actually win with ease.

Meh, I live in the US and it's a way for other people around the world to connect and play without leaving the country. Playing online is a good way to see how others play just as much as playing in person. Gaming here in the US isn't the same as gaming in Japan.

Chatae has it right in terms of the game storyline. Ryu simply could not accept that he lost and it allowed his darker impulses to consume him. It was only for a moment but that's all it took to carve a chunk out of Sagat's chest. Since that moment Ryu has tirelessly resisted the lure of the Satsui no Hadou.

Sagat in my opinion is the greatest fighter that has been on SF. I understand that Ryu is the main protagonist, but Sagat was Bison's right hand man, Bison is even afraid of Sagat. Sagat allowed hate to consume him after losing to Ryu but the ending shows his determination, This music is the pinnacle of the Legend Sagat, and a brilliant tone as well. Yeah Sagat was actually the original boss in Street Fighter (on the nes). Then M.Bison came along with his Physco Power. You see Bison has no form of fighting, he just uses his phsyco energy to his advantage. Sagat became known as the Muay Thai Emperor, and Iorn Fist (because of his dominance in Muay Thai, and winning the StreetFighter tournament countless times). I think because he won so much, he became cocky, and when he lost, he was shocked that there is someone better then him. Xxx

I love Sagat, I just hate when I play on Xbox Live and some loser picks him and mashes buttons. Thats the bad thing about Sagat though, all people have to do is mash down forward kick or punch formations and they have a chance. You just have to be able to see it coming. Adon beat Sagat but was hospitalized for over 4 months while Sagat was not. According to the story posted by Capcom, Sagat was too caught up with worrying about getting revenge against Ryu. Plus during the first SF, Adon was defeated with a single shoryuken while Sagat had Ryu beaten and gave his hand to help him up when Ryu got consumed by the dark hadou and did his Metsu Shoryuken and defeated him. Also, the fight against Dan he completely threw and let Dan win. He is a king in my eyes.
