@CrystalNeonAngel stacy's version is a classic but i like this one better. i can understand what you're saying about emotion though. making the song upbeat takes some of the feeling out of it but shanice's vocals in this version make it more favorable for me. but if someone like alicia keys or keyshia cole sang this, it would be a dud.

Shanice started out singing as a child. She has been in the business for 20+ years and she has never lost a step. She is very underated. You should wathch some of her live performances on Youtube, she will simply blow you away.

Shanice from my reading has decided not 2sign 2a major label becuz she wants her freedom. She was signed to 3 A&M, Motown and Laface. She now has her own label Imajah and has done well with her 2006 album Every Woman's Dream. Remember not everything glitters is gold. Some of these in the spotlight singers don't own a thing; the label owns everything and if drop 2morrow, the'd be broke.

Shanice started out singing as a child. She has been in the business for 20+ years and she has never lost a step. She is very underated. You should wathch some of her live performances on Youtube, she will simply blow you away.
I think she will be coming out with a new CD this year.

That is not true! Firstly, Shanice doesn't do a lot of covers. I can only think of 5 and this one is not even a cover because the verses are different. Only Minnie's Loving You Shanice whistles on and that is a big part of that song.

2. Inner Child 1991
3. 21...Ways To Grow 1994
4. Shanice 1999
5. Every Woman Dreams 2006
And an Ultimate Collection was also released in 1999. So if you like you may go and get a copy. The first three may not be so easy to come by.

Shanice from my reading has decided not 2sign 2a major label becuz she wants her freedom. She was signed to 3 A&M, Motown and Laface. She now has her own label Imajah and has done well with her 2006 album Every Woman's Dream. Remember not everything glitters is gold. Some of these in the spotlight singers don't own a thing; the label owns everything and if drop 2morrow, the'd be broke.

You are so correct. Many people look at Rhianna, Beyonce, Ashanti and many others and think they have it made because they are signed to a big label, but they don't understand that in some instances the lifestyle these stars are living is paid for by the label and unless these artists are wise, if the label should drop them it's a possibility that they are left broke or left owing the label million of dollars. So Shanice is in a secured position for sure, and I'm very proud of her achievements.
