  • I don't get it, how did you get to level 99?

  • omg, that trick really works!!

  • There is no "game over" screen in FF6. Fall in battle & the it fades to black, your character kneels, you hear sad music, then you're sent back to your last save game with one difference: you keep all the levels you've gained since then.

Back in the 1990's, after Chrono Trigger came out, I was wishing for New Game Plus in FF6... and realized I could have my own version of it one day when I was reading the manual. I told Thwyter that day and he was the one who pulled it off first.

  • *blinks twice* Ok, never had that happen before on the SNES. How in the name of Primus did you do that?

  • Then you didn't see my SNES version of it. On the GBA I utilized the quick save feature to store my progress since it does not actually save the game, but rather the state.

  • Congrats on achieving this again, before me again. I'll eventually make good on the idea I came up with, heh. Back on SNES, I failed at around level 80 when Celes got hit with insta-death by herself, and currently I'm going for a low-evel game. I'll catch up though! At least I'm still ahead in PSO >_>

  • @lceBurner I miss playing PSO.
