  • press 4 for hot legs

  • He looks about 6...

  • Chuck norris would have done better ...

  • Just to point out to all the hypsters. Entering the water feet firstconstitutes a JUMP. To be a dive has to be headfirst entry.

  • This stuff is so much better live... go to acapulco, people.

  • That was epic{^^,}

  • Is this in ACAPULCO,MEXICO?

  • that was pretty big....

  • I thought that too, but than realized the "55 feet" is referring to the cliff. ;-)

  • Fail world record is 172ft..

  • Your a lier, the world record is 127ft so dont bullshit

  • wow how deep was the water?

  • Yeah, right....At 182, you'll find the current world record. Only a few people have ever ventured above 120. Even the pro competitors usually stop at around 90.

There is a reason the highest platform in the Olympics is 33 feet.

  • This is in "La Quebrada", one of the most popular places in Acapulco. La Quebrada is famous for the Cliff Dive spot, where daredevil divers show their abilities.

  • UKstuntman. 5***** Bravo for the stuntman! good show!

  • y do they go in feet first after a certain height? is it bcus its too high for them to break the water with their hands first and then head like some divers do?

  • In cliff diving its normal to land on your head. Some crazy people every now and then will land on their hands but its not common. You shoulders just are not nearly as strong as your legs

  • wouldnt recommend entering on your head. hurts after a few dives and i had a huge headache the next day.

  • viva los acapulqueños!!

  • I'm from there, hello to all the people living in Acapulco!!!

  • I look forward to seeing your sister and yourself at the World Cliff Diving Championships representing your country in the future. I believe two people from each country are invited to compete at each championships - I'm fairly sure I've never been in the top two of anything in my country but I guess you must be the best at so many things in your country so you can dismiss this achievement.

  • Hello, when did this take place?

  • acapulco, mexico

  • You obviously have the right to say whatever you wish but the lack of respect you have is shocking. To not think being invited to dive in the World Cliff Diving Championships is an achievement is up to you, but to call someone a cheap bastard and gay in the first sentence you ever direct at that person is classless.

  • Strange that a video of cliff diving would cause so much controversy. Some people have too much time on their hands. All I can say is that anyone who has any clue about cliff diving knows that the Clavadistas of Acapulco are some of the craziest and most respected cliff divers in the world. The cliffs of acapulco are famous around the world for being one of the most dangerous places in the world to dive from as well. Nice video. Respect for being one of the selected few to be invited to dive.

  • Your daughter was jumping off cliffs at 8? I mean you did take the fact he is jumping off a cliff before making such a dumb comment?

  • viva acapulco chingaos jajaja soy de ahy

  • omg i remember when i went there my family and i went at night to see them it was really cool but scary at the same time

  • acapulco gold

  • looks fun except i would just jump in

  • i have been there... it is crazy

  • ditto

  • I've Jumped 96 Feet In Mazatlan Mexico...It Was Pretty Amazing...Sure Got You Going..!

  • Uuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh

  • the highest iv ever jumped is like 60 feet...it doesnt look scary looking at it..but when your up there..its scary as hell!!!

  • the dangerous thing about there is the rock and the shallow water.

  • the highest jump recorded is 170 something feet in 1987 or so

  • its pretty cool at the cliff dives in spanish this place is called "la quebrada" i think

  • i just got back from acapulco today, i went to the cliff diving like 3 days ago it was pretty cool

  • Wow, u must be a giant then!

  • I.konw

    !

  • fun in acapulco

  • well in acapulco, they have to gow down a small cliff go through the water. then climb their way up on the big cliff, once they get there.before the jump they have to calculate timing because down there is like a small beach full of rocks and water goes in and out PLUS their own trajectory so they dont hit the cliff instead of hitting water. I have seen a few macho dudes bragging about how good they are, and all they do is free fall with a couple spins. but This takes skills, balls, and madness.

  • i would poo in my knicknocks and i'm really manly !!

  • bravo to you mr dude man you are a shinny skinny dude with much wanting to excel at this sport . Your much accomplished.

  • So before anyone posts ridiculously arrogant criticism of this video, while sitting at home on their computers, please research and consider all the facts; so not to appear ignorant on the subject of diving and diving events as well as to give the respect and credit to this extremely talented athlete as he rightfully deserves.

  • The reason why Mr. Brindle meritted an invitation to Acapulco, and why this televised event even exists, is because the cliffs here are extremely dangerous given the projectory towards the hazardously sharp rocks, amongst other things.

The best divers in the world get invited to participate in this event, and every diver dreams of it.

And this is simply one hobby, sport, and form of entertainment of which this particular athelete has excelled at.

  • This diver, Aidan Brindle, has dived from much higher than 55ft. He's dived 90ft. simply for dive shows. His brother was an Olympic gymnist and he himself has excelled in the Gymnastic world breaking UK records, championship records, and world records.

He's performed in numerous stuntshows in not only high diving, but other action show spectaculars doing everything from intricate stage combat, to car and motorcycle stunts.

  • fuck of you yankie!

  • ooh i went and watched that while i was down there once..its only like 55. looks more like 100s when theyre climbing up.

  • hes right, 55 feet aint that impressive as far as height goes, ive done higher. but the flips are tough.

  • oh no, nah 55 feet aint that high, nah just 20 metres, nothing much

    stupid show off

  • to jondom:

yeah thats the whole point, the flips. anybody can just jump straight..

  • i like this sport

  • not that impressive i've done about that height

  • on a cliff with sharp rocks at the bottom and flipping, not just a straight jump? ok mr big shot, ud be on tv like this guy then

  • jumping or doing a double frontflip?

i've jumped way higher but i'd never flip at that height

  • Yeah.... You casually stepped off the rock and fell into the water. But where were your 2 flips and a twist in midair, that's what we all want to see you try in a video, so we can all laugh while you get fished out and taken to the hospital.

  • Nice Video! Download and save this youtube video to your harddrive with _youtubex.com_

  • This is cool, but base jumping's better :D

  • how musch is 55 feet in meters

  • About 17 metres. The highest point there is 90 feet - about 27.5 metres. THe height isn't all the problem though as the water isn't very deep and the cliffs jut out under the water so timing the waves to give more water to land in and also getting distance from the cliff are really important.

  • The highest point is 35 meters! I'm from there

  • @ZuRiPriMe 3 FOOT = 1 METRE

  • this is cool i see it every year

  • Incredible. In 1997, i saw for the first time a woman cliffdiving. But i can't remember her name
