Arcade Fire is to me somewhat like Radiohead. Not in music genre, but in the fact that every single album is fucking amazing, even their mediocre LPs are five times better than the majority of rock.

i love arcade fire its very interesting how they mix violins guitars old and modern instruments there songs are so great they are masterpieces its like a symphony. i was at the oxegen festival and saw them live this song was performed great! :) but what genre is this inde? alternative? everyone should listen to this song i reccomend the suburbs title track to people

....for all who say that this album is a different theme from the normal arcade fire are wrong. This album is going to be just as great.

In cause you dont understand the meaning of the suburb album cover and they style ill clue you in. They are trying to show you how times have changed and will never go back they way they are. In reality the suburbs are a memory of the past and gone forever. dead and gone.

@ghostSTL That is just one interpretation of the album. There are many interpretations (trust me I had to analyze the album for my English class). Hell - just look at the lyrics for the song Sprawl II, it directly goes against the interpretation you gave.

Yesterday I was traveling to L.A. for E3. We had a rental car because my other car was involved in a crash. Anyway, the rental car happened to have satellite radio. I found an indie station and they were playing some really good music. Twenty minutes in, they announced they just got their hands on this single by Arcade Fire. I freaked out because I love Arcade Fire and I hadn't heard the single yet. It made the 7 hour drive so much better.

Thank God for minor car accidents!
