This looks completely unrecognisable in terms of the book. If I had seen this trailer, I would want to watch the film, but having read the book I know all of it to be different, and there's no way the two could mix in my head. Especially the end scenes- all this the girls turning on Miss G rubbish, the whole tragedy comes from the fact that they never do- they commit this horrific crime in her name, and although they feel some remorse, they're not truly guilty, and they're still infatuated.

From what I can tell it is a story about sexual awekening and of desire. Its also the idea of how desire- Miss G's lil 'interest' in the young Spanish student Fiona, can cross boundaries. I think in a way it's about women and other women (even though they are just girls, theres a maturity in them and a connection between the two characters). Hope that helped. Nope I havent watched it as yet.

I don't think so, I think that the way it's more about obsession that actual love means that you don't quite notice that it's a same-sex 'relationship', there's so much more going on that you don't really stop to consider that fact. And besides, it's not exactly the stereotype that same sex couple are insane and obsessive. (Damn, I'm awful at expressing myself sometimes.)

Actually, "Heavenly Creatures" was one of the movies Jordan Scott (the director) recommended Eva Green to watch for "homework". Other films included "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie", "Lord of the Flies", and "Picnic at Hanging Rock".
