I got the Kit from Airfix Mail order at £49.99 it is Very Good in Detail the Number if you are going for it is A50059 it is a Big box it also comes with Paint and Glue and two Paint brushes I thought the model would have spare parts and Decals to Convert it to the ARK Royal as both Ships are Identical
Now all we need is type 42's, frigates, HMS Invincible, HMS Ark Royal etc. Or how about the Type 82 destroyer HMS Bristol, i was on that last week doing training with the sea cadets and she's a fine ship!
I do believe that Airfix, has an HMS Ark Royal, I fact they do but however it is a 1:600 scale model. However I do look forward to having old lusty in my collection!

Will there be Additional Markings for the ARK ROYAL as it is still docked in Portsmouth and I think the Navy has forgotten about it and if this kit is Good will they do the ROYAL YACHT BRITANNIA

If you look at HMS Illustrious now you will see that the Sea Dart launchers and the foc'sle were removed around 1996, to make room for the Harrier GR7
There does seem to be a few fit problems but most of us use PE rails here and those hise these fit areas so no-prob. If the price is right I'll add it if like China they ae priced too high they can keep it in the UK. It still looks first rate. White Ensign will do a first rate job on the PE part set for this on I'll bet.

'Stereos' are the first shots out of a mould, and allow for any 'tweaking' before final polishing etc.

Stereolithography is nothing to do with the moulds, these parts are made from resin prior to the moulds being cut.
