I would consider Cowley one of the "Godfathers of Technon/House Music". What we know as "house music", is something that guys like him, Moroder and Larry Levan, were doing in the early 70's on thru the 80's, long before ANYONE knew that house music was really about. All of them were geniuses at talking a small part of a vocal and laying it over a beat or medley that would knock your fuckin socks off...Patrick was an originator and one of the architects of club music.
@MisterCrazyLegs totes agree with you on that and he needs to get more props - your comment shows you to be a man of distinction and quality - do you wanna funk , i said do you wanna funk with meeeeeeeee!!! see you in a disco soon i hope - keep the vibe alive !
@MisterCrazyLegs I CONSIDER EARLIER PIONEERS TOM MOULTON, WALTER GIBBONS WAY EARLIER THAN COWLEY...TOM MOULTON WAS REMIXING ALREADY IN LATE 60'S AND EARLY 70'S....
@MisterCrazyLegs OH, AND DON'T FORGET DAVID MANCUSO...THEY WERE BASICALLY REMIXING ON THE SPOT WHILE DJing...WHICH LATER WOULD TAKE A COMMERICAL APROACH...
Agreed - (especially up to 1:03 and at 3:30 or so) the key switches and syncopated basslines are a bit of a giveaway. It's great, sounds darker, but kinda like Do Ya Wanna Funk's illegitimate son.

There is nothing distinctive about Sara Dash's voice that would set her apart from the hundreds of female nobody's who can also hit the notes.
