How in the world has it become common knowledge that this was the first episode taped? I can think of a dozen reasons why it probably isn't.

-Olmec's mouth in the first half of the season had a slight curve before he got remodeled, and I don't see it here.

-When Kirk says "welcome to the hidden temple", he doesn't say "Well actually it's Olmec's temple" which is customary in the first couple of layouts

-When the camera goes out to the temple, it has the wheel room.

@liljayyboi2 Sorry, commented before I saw that part. I'm guessing that since this is the first episode they showed the water to have you picture the pirate ship sailing the seas, since they didn't have pictures for their stories yet.
