  • Your video is a favorite on Cyprus

  • Good, it lerned how gallop.

Hey congratulations to the developer, there were a hard work to implement it!

    Am i right?

  • It looks like it learned how to "Trot" like a horse, that's hot!!!

  • and here is what a retarded robot walk is like ...

  • They should put a cat in there and film its reaction...

  • STOP SPAMMING PEOPLE, YOU FUCK-TARD!!!!

  • se parece a un reptil ^^

  • If I saw that thing running toward me it would so get stomped on. Sorry. I don't care how much it cost.

  • Imagine walking across a dimly lit street or field at night, and seeing that come chasing after you?

  • ça brasserait moins et ça serait moins compliqué avec des roues?

  • Put ammo or medical aid on it's back and send it out into the battlefield.

  • i'd like it to be my dog

  • get me a super sized one and I'll ride it to work everyday

  • @ChumChurum ha ha ha I imagined businessman riding on that thing haha XD

  • simpler:Like in real world: sinews/tendon:

A tensioning sinew(s) along the inner bent leg: pull or release to adjust leg tension:

tension electronics to operate sinew tension is much much smaller and can be placed INSIDE the robot body : weight reduction, avoidance of dirt , no fragile damaging parts on the moving legs.... think of it.

Next time observe living animals better..

  • If this should be based on cockroach movement then something is missing:

The robot "feet" are relatively slippery: it operates like a rubber tyre sliding over the ground (grass:slips, sand: slips concrete: bit of grip).

You should focus on the grip/variable grip(nails in or out).

The "dynamic leg stiffness" (shorter or longer bent leg) only adjusts the "jump/bounce" of the feet which is of lesser importance (seeing all the overkill on electronics/motors) beside which can be much simpler done:

  • I think robots have a bright future, we just haven't sincerely dared implementing versatile solutions yet. I see this thing running in the grass and jumping to bite into a frisbee. A precursor to "rat things".

  • It's pretty cool how the rows of legs take turns moving so it's rows 1 and 3, then row 2, then 1 and 3 again etc. Makes it feel really "alive" in a way when it moves like that.

  • Heh, I like the exposed Sanyo motors.

  • Enemy RC-XD Inbound!

    COD Black ops"

    Friendly Hexapod inbound!

    COD Modern Warefare 3" (maybe)

  • awesome bug that is!

  • This is cute.

  • Is that an evil mechanic Cockroach that I'm seeing? Oh, we're doomed

  • Wow,imagine what kind of jumps that thing could do if you amped up the back legs.

  • skynet

  • Looks like they have reinvented the wheel.

  • Are these the same guys who made R-hex? Regardless, I'm glad they're still working on the R-hex concept because it is so awesome to see a tiny robot like that be so versatile and fast.

  • It looks "cartoonish" but the technology is amazingly sophisticated.

  • Are those binding straps? NICE XD

  • Re-inventing the wheel o_o

  • Are there really that many more benefits than wheels?

  • 1:48 "rust bums on ya"

  • That is awesome.
