@scorekeys7 Sorry to reply you late!!! By the way, I am playing the 1.2 version of this Stage 4. Now, the Stage 4 game is upgraded to version 1.5 and I don't think that I can do such feint drift by using a stock car :( Anyway, this is how I do the feint drift:

1. Just before you are going to enter a corner, drop to gear 3, half-release your accelerator, and step brake (half-way). When your car is reducing speed, turn your steering wheel in the opposite direction (i.e, turn left for right-turn)..

@scorekeys7 2. After turning your steering wheel, you quickly shift back to gear 4, release brake and step your accelerator all the way down.

3. Turn your steering wheel right

I do this feint drift with one hand steering. Refer to this clip @1:29, 1:35, 2:00 and look carefully on the directions of the tire marks

@JJemo97 No.. Stock car is a car that have no engine upgrade and visual upgrade. Some cars like AE85 is a very bad car when there is no engine upgrades. Slow, easy to get out of control....

Oh well.... the way I drive is noob according to those Initial D gurus :( Feint drift is not needed in this map in fact.... According to the gurus, you only need to turn early before each hairpin...

That time, I am still playing the 1.2 ver patch of this game, so drifting is super easy even for a stock car :( Now, for the new 1.5 vers patch of this game, this faint drift is almost impossible to be done! T.T anyway, this is how I drift during the 1.2 ver of this game... Before the hairpin bend, swing the car to opposite side, and release your accelerator a bit and shift to gear 3, and step brake (half-way)... Then swing the car towards the bend, step accelerator to full, go to gear 4....

I have an initial D license but i only have 1 car

i use a yellow FD but still, I CAN'T BEAT KAI!

Errr... Using FD to race against Kai is really difficult because FD is too big for those sharp corners. Kai's car will have high chance to pass you when he use the 'illegal' method to pass those corners. Your car can also cut corner like Kai but your car can't go too deep into those corners. Your only chance to make Kai lose is the time after you pass those 5 hairpins and your car and his car must be at least 30m apart. FD's main weapon: Super acceleration on straight road!

I think FD's level 7 engine should have only 1 choice. If they are some other level 7 engine, choose twin-turbo engine!!! From the anime, you should know that twin-turbo is better than single-turbo. Also, having only engine upgrade is not enough. You need to have all your car components to be at level 7, or else you don't feel the true power of FD!!! My AE85 is at full upgrade, so it runs much much better than a stock AE85!!!.

Kai is a pain so you did good to beat him suign an AE85. I like how you were doing the feint manuver.

Good news, in may you'll be able to own Arcade Stage 4 in your own Living Room. It's coming to the PS3 exclusively as "Initial D: Extreme Stage".

It's only being released in japan but since the PS3 is not region locked you can import the game, I know I'm going to(It even has online play).

So far, from those Initial D 4 'professional' players, they use a skil called 'penalty-cancel' (PC) in order to let them pass through a corner at high speed O.o

Feint drift actually is not needed for Irohazaka... :( But, feint drift is good for this map only because your car can entirely block the other car at the corners :P

i think ur speed is 60/70 after turn. speed too slow. u can early turn and no nid to turn outside. early turn speed will 80/90, if turn outside will be like u 60/70.
