@livinglegend1187 And if you do know what you are talking about (which I rather believe you've implied), why haven't you given information to enlighten us as to why you have justifiable belief in your argument? No one will be swayed by such a poor accusation.
I am a big Apple fan myself, but what Mr. Fry says about Bill Gates never writing a single line of code couldn't be further from the truth. Back in his days at Harvard University, he and fellow Microsoft founder Paul Allen did many all-nighters writing the first computer language that was taken up by the manufacturers of the first ever desktop computer, the Altair, that began their success. Steve Jobs on the other hand wrote very few lines of code (if any), but he had the most wonderful visions!
the only thing that i disagree with stephen on is the apple v msoft.. but i totally get his pov coming from the 80s when MS was the behemoth and apple was the victim. but now, its the other way around. apple is the one throtling open source and google is kinda the new hero.
Sorry man but your interviewing style is just soooo dull. But I could listen to Stephen all day. Would love to watch Pirates of Silicon Valley with him haha
jeez. you land an interview with a treasure like stephen fry and you ask him questions like 'are they all diefferent colours?' very lucky that stephen is such an interesting man lol
I started using the internet when I was 11, in 1988. I remember getting detention because I said that I "did research on the internet for homework." None of the faculty believed that such a thing existed.
Bill Gates coded TONS when he was younger...I'm not saying anything about MS-DOS or Microsoft, but that was a huge exaggeration to say he was only a businessman.
@Mooktopia research (and I dont mean that cockily :) ) his thoughts on big corporations like apple and how much he supports 'open source' and how he knows people expect content to be free on the internet etc. and it becomes very clear why he accepts these interviews.. if he wasnt famous and achieved what he has in the industry, he would be a youtuber Im certain of it
Stephen has no idea what he is talking about with regard to Microsoft and OS history.

@darijoe That's true - it's a myth that it's myth that Bill Gates was a techy (if you follow me).
