Assylum and City really remind me of the Burtun movies in some ways. The first one ended in triumph, but the second ended with one or several beloved characters dying. I prefer the original Batman over Batman Returns and I had a better feeling after a Assylum then City as well, but its all up to who the player is I guess.

I hope the next sequel will let us play as Nightwing as well, since I bet this will go into with Bats, Catwoman and Nightwing and Robin going up against more villains.

A lot of people don't know that magic can hurt even kill Superman. I think if a Superman game was set on Apokolips or if he had to fight Doomsday it could work. True a majority of people would ask "why can't I break this wall?" or get annoyed in areas of Red sun radiation. Well Superman is a strategic thinker not someone who mindlessly breaks everything and fights villians.
Continued, a game with a godlike-super being that can't be hurt and is too fast to avert most anything bad that might happen SHOULD be too boring. He can hear anything that happens, anywhere in the world, and be there in the next second. Then he can either super punch it, freeze breath it (wtf), laser eye it, ultra fart it, or whatever other power he may have.
Unless you have the game set in Kandor or somehow the sun becomes red (cause just HOW much kryptonite is there to go around?)
Making a Superman game has its own difficulties, mainly because the character is so inconsistently powerful, but in most depictions he's too fast, strong AND invulnerable. So, no bullets can hurt him and if there's a hostage, he's so fast he can save them before anything happens to them. He could punch a hole through most enemies so you'd only have to feature super tough guys in the game.
So what then? Have him spend the entire game under the influence of kryptonite?
I have NO idea how they managed to actually improve a perfect game like this, with Arkham City. It's mind blowing. I thought the combat was perfect in AA, but in AC it's somehow even smoother.. So many more improvements, but I won't state it all.

If you meant by, like newly created villains by Rocksteady, then many comic book fanboys may have been angry about them being in and not others like Ventriloquist or other big baddies. They did have the two Russian twins though.

@CampCrystalLakeFan Yes in the comics Hush does know Batman's identity because they were childhood friends. Assuming you have not read Batman Hush written by Jeph Loeb and drawn by Jim Lee, I reccommend it.

Man so many game franchises r doing really well. u got batman, mass effect, halo,gears,maybe cod,bf etc....but the 1 game that screwed up BIG TIME is fable. OMG esp the new one called the journeys looks like complete SHIT!. by the way great review

Hey Joe what kind of new villains would you have liked to see ?
If you meant by, like newly created villains by Rocksteady, then many comic book fanboys may have been angry about them being in and not others like Ventriloquist or other big baddies. They did have the two Russian twins though.

Poison Ivy wasn't really...in the game..you had one shitty boss fight with catwoman...don't...don't act like she was in the game please. lol
Not saying its not a good game, just...it was shit, Robin wasn't playable in the story/can't free roam with him, Poison Ivy barely even was mentioned/showed up...was sad...

@sonofdark18 Well, I didn't 'squeel' necassarily. But, I was pretty excited the night before the estimated delivery date. The game was freaking amazing just by the title screen alone. I just recently bought the Robin DLC. Best $7.00 I ever spent. LOL :)
Yeah, I got a PS3... at the moment. But, I am working on getting the money together to buy a 360 off of my brother-in-law. LOL

@DecepticonMecha i have the xbox 360 version i bought all the batsuits and the robin DLC my favorite batsuits are the animated series suit and the beyond suit. i was hoping that the "The new batman adventures" (the cartoon with nightwing plus that suit is my ALL TIME favorite) was in it but oh well.

to those who say the ending was bad...I beg to differ. It's like joe said. It was a bitter sweet victory. You just didn't expect that coming. To those who say the main story sucks, how so? I thought it was well done. It's all about saving the people of Gotham and going through some nutjobs to do so.
