in canada a tax was proposed in order to build the trans-canada highway. it was supposed to be stopped a few years after it was built. but was never canceled so that they'd have money to maintain the highway. but it doesn't cost as much to maintain as to build. so why wasn't it at least cut-back? that is not until the conservative party came in. :D

My point was that they were losing customers, and they changed their market strategy to promote 'healthy foods'. My path towards conservative views seem to be like yours. I had heard a lot of negative comments on conservatism, but once I learned the core values I had to re-think my position. As a hispanic many of my own family have insinuated I'm a sell out. Sadly they speak from ignorance and disillusionment. Views I have that might be considered liberal, are just charitable views.
