  • This version is very cool! What album is this in?

  • @ys7yoo The album Count Bassie swings Joe Williams sings.

  • best version of the song ever!

  • My heart soars when I hear this joyful sound. As another magnificent vocalist, Joe Lee Wilson, sings so well, "The Blues ain't nothin' - and I ain't got nothin' but the Blues!" Thanks for posting this, timmyj40.

  • I heard Joe W with Count Basie at Birdland in NY 1956. He was sitting at a table when Basie started Every Day and Joe entered the scene exactly in time. I came from Sweden that very day! What an experience!!!

  • joe was sooooo cool---i loved his baby make my backbone crack

  • cool shit. gotta love basie and williams. this version is the best of them together.

  • This is killer music making. I love that huge Williams sound: big, ballsy vibrato all over the place, the Count grinning the orchestra over and swinging so bad. Thanks for this post!

  • I have always loved the killer horn section on this version. Williams and Basie have made this blues standard uniquely their own.

  • ¡Giant Joe, Super Williams!

    Many thanks, timmyj40.

    Best regards.

  • go joe go !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you for sharing this fantastic Big Band blues classic. Such an amazing blend of voice and instruments!
