  • he should try dog meet

  • O.O If all the "bizarre" foods....this is the only one I would NEVER eat.

  • From audio translate: "I'm a ridership food critic an italian columnist"

  • I love all video of Andrew Zimmern

  • Feels like trying the snake skin :)

  • He's missing out... Hue and the south must also be visited...

  • i happen to be vietnamese...i have never even heard of these...

  • 125 dollars for a cobra? That's just crazy. I bought one in Si Sa Ket in Thailand for 250 Baht, about 8 dollars.

  • @teppo42 I can buy a decent steak at the store for 8 dollars, I can get a cheap steak of the same size from a cheap restaurant for about 12-15 dollars, I can go to a higher end restaurant and the same size piece of meat would cost upwards of 20-25 dollars.

And If I go to a very fancy restaurant where they prepare specialty steaks of that size, I would be looking at up to 125$. Now take in account the exotic factor of beef vs a cobra and it's easy to see why the price is rather steep.

  • andrew zimmern would never die hungry, he should be in manga toriko, like bishokuya he "hunts"for new foods

  • This guy has such a great job.

See the world, experience so many different cultures and enjoy their cuisine.

  • this never happens in south vietnam............

  • 7:07 - "WOW" what a fake expression... you can even tell it by his face! lol

  • I ate crickets and snacks

  • horrible quality

  • Love Mr. Zimmern show. He's charming.

  • aww snakes are delicious... damn i'm in england :-(

  • AT 6:26, I thought the guy would say something like: "NO! You're not supposed to eat it! It's poisonous!!!"

  • asian viagra and it really work , asian people know like red bull man lol

  • i ate one when i was in viet nam for a month to visit my people i kept it as a pet and IT WAS SHITTY BIG purple skin black tongue and i grilled it IT WAS uh realy hard to eat :(

  • FUCK THIS , IM GOING BACK TO EPICMEALTIME.

  • my dad tried da gall bladder once and i literally barfed~! it was a bad experience~

  • @6:26 surprised face lol

  • im viet and now i dont feel like going to vietnam for food anymore..... they eat bugs

  • Since falling in love with snakes watching them kill it was a bit awkward, and I've watched a few things with people killing/eating snakes over the years. But now it feels like I've watched someone kill something cute a fluffy...

  • @AndrewMarron yes, i feel the same as yours. But what can i say, most people there are so uneducated. they have no feeling for other creatures; and they would eat anything except human, unless the VN Gov't educate their people to change their behaviors, along with protecting the wild. until then, these kinds of slaughter would go on.

  • @deepgalaxy3000 I never said they were uneducated. You completely misunderstood my comment!

  • @AndrewMarron i didn't say you said it. that's just my personal comment.

  • @deepgalaxy3000 It's what they eat you ignorant dipstick! It''s not like they hunt them for fun or some shit like people do in the U.S.

  • @CrimesonWitcher I know that's what they eat you dumb dumb, but so what! and that is why i thinhk they should stop eating and killing all creatures. I think they should learn to save and spare the wild animals and environment, understood?

  • @deepgalaxy3000 Are you saying they should all go vegetarian and stop expanding? It's called growth. The same way America and all other countrys grow. The wild animals is what they have always eaten so why stop? Their environment is fine. It's not like they are polluting like the big countrys do. What do you expect them to do?

  • 125 dollars for a snake meal? That's triple what the average person makes in Vietnam. You can totally tell this was made for tourists. Nothing authentic here.

  • @AirmenATC he over paid for that snake, i used to live in vn and went back there, i try alot of snake and it only cost me less than $20 for meal.....

  • @CarterKhang 20 dollars... okay. That's how much a person makes in a month over there.

  • i want to try those snake spring rolls

  • Its not a cobra you moron !!

  • andrew zimmern is family friendly. but i prefer anthony bourdain's sensibility and subtle deference to foreign cultures by not remarking how WEIRD and BIZARRE their foods are.

  • a weird thing is my mom's Vietnamese and she married a French guy 0_0

  • @nerdforlife100 France used to own Vietnam. :D

  • @sobettax3 i know!!! that's why i said it was weird though......

  • gangster eating snake... drinking their blood

  • if it looks good... eat it

  • @brandol101 thx now these worms are realy disgusting haha

  • @infight not really disgusting if u give me 2k dollars` i going to eat that worms in front ofv u with lemon (kalamansi).

  • @brandol101 well I guess I said it wrong. disgusting to me but for sum cash I'd do it too..damn we are so venally haha

  • holy shit, alcohol with snake blood !!! tough ppl

  • "isnt it"

  • wow...brave man, eat the beating heart....

  • I have a sudden craving for snake

  • snake blood is good for our skin (women should try it)

  • ha ha it's true that we eat almost everything and waste nothing. We just don't have the appetite for human lives.

  • Fish sauce and pho are probably the most popular foreigner favorites..

  • @sarcasmagasm I totally i agree with you and why is the guide asking so many questions about the spring roll and about snake stuff, shouldn't the know? lol :)

  • @verynasti13

You must remember that Andrew's appetite and food knowledge is more bizarre than that of the locals'

  • None of the snake goes to waste, the eat the bones, meat and skin and drink the blood..

  • that guy sounds like the asian dude in king of the hills

  • Hi #UN#, Let's stay in touch with my vlog channel ! Feel free to Subscribe, Like, Comment, and make Favorite to @ciciliciousnyc! <3

  • I thought i've eaten snake but now i've had those spring roll my mom never told me what it was

  • i really wouldn't mind eating snake~ i mean, it IS still meat, after all

  • I tried alcohol with snake blood before, it's been said that it's good for your skin :)

It wasn't disgusting because the alcohol got rid of the bloody and fishy smell, it was sweet, actually.

  • I love how Andrew is explaining it to his guide what those foods are and how his guide is all shocked he actually ate a snake heart

  • In the opening he list Fermented Fish Sauce as bizarre. Its a very common ingredient in many asian cuisines, and I can go buy bottles of the stuff at either my local chinese or korean groceries.

  • lol it's so crunchy and hard XD just find that kinda funny ^_^

  • mmmm.... snake spring row. btw im viet. VIETNAM FTW!

  • 6:26 dude turn fag.

  • Pho is my favorite dish at my home but we only eat it 2 times a month

  • I'm Vietnamese and I visited. The hamburgers are dry but very meaty! Yummy

  • OMG! Eating snakes is so gross! I almost threw up!

  • @azn808uw disagree .i can visit for snakes feast ...liked that!!

  • ! i could not live at this place! cant they have simple PIZZA!!!!!!

  • WOW! They drink alcohol with snake blood. That explains why they kicked america´s ass in the Vietnam war. Mexicans drink alcohol with a worm in it and think they´re Mike Tyson. Vietnamese are kool.

  • @StreetArtillery hahahahahaha

  • @StreetArtillery im vietnamese and the only reason why the american lost is because ho chi minh cheated. even tho im vnese that doesnt mean im a communist. im on the rite side and the american is rite

  • @jurioe515 How do you "cheat" in a war? Anyways, if you really look at how Ho Chi Minh came to power, it was the Americans who cheated. It was the OSS who found Nguyen Ai Quoc, saved his life from malaria, gave him and his ragtag group of Marxist guerillla fighters weapons and training, called him an ally, then stabbed him in the back when he got through fighting the Japanese and started in on the French.

  • @jurioe515 He actually asked Truman to help him fight the French like Roosevelt had helped him fight the Japanese. I saw the letter. It was only then that they suddenly realized that he was a Marxist.

  • @StreetArtillery i agree lol

  • @StreetArtillery America beat itself in the Vietnam war, the manpower and technology we're available but the war was lost at home.

  • @StreetArtillery America beat itself in the Vietnam war, the manpower and technology we're available but the war was lost at home, otherwise the outcome would have been different.

  • @StreetArtillery

i don't really recall losing 1 million soldiers to the US's less than 75,000 soldiers as winning. If we stayed, A lot longer, Vietnam would of been severely more crippled due to the loss of sooooo many soldiers.

  • @icynok You do realize that it wasn't just America right? It was several country's attacking Vietnam at the same time. If it was just America alone then America would have lost ALOT more troops.

  • @CrimesonWitcher

You do realize he was referring to *America* as in Americans, so it doesn't matter that there were other countries involved, When the topic of the Vietnam war comes up, it doesn't involve any other country in the topic BUT the US and Vietnam that i have noticed.

  • @icynok Yes of course I knew that. You made it sound like America cause all the casualties on the Vietnamese side and made them lose over one million troops. It was several countrys attacking Vietnam at the freaking same time so it's nothing to brag about that the U.S. had less casualties. I'm South Vietnamese myself raised in America thank you. I get annoy of assholes who are too proud to admit America lost that war. Things would have gone differently if it was just Vietnam vs the U.S.

  • @CrimesonWitcher

I know that it wasn't just the American troops that caused a lot of the casualties, and I too get annoyed at those that keep saying things like *vietnam would of won if it was just the U.S. and Vietnam* well of course that in itself is true but it is also true for any country being attacked by another country on their own. Not 1 country can do it today on their own. I'd like to see any country invade a 1st world or 2nd world country today and do it on their own.

  • @CrimesonWitcher

the reason for such resilience of the Vietnamese soldiers was because of a few major factors, 1. home turf, 2. jungle warfare is entirely different from any other types of habitats there is and all the Forces that were invading Vietnam had no real knowledge of jungle warfare except the few that were higher ranks leading the units. Don't get me wrong, i'm not ditching Vietnam and or parading the US forces being elite or whatever. :)

  • @icynok I agree with icynok. I was born and raised in Vietnam for 13 years and I do understand what are the frustrations of Vietnamese people are experiencing. Jungle warfare and home turf was an important sources of the Vietnamese that led them to overpower the Americans.

  • @henryrule1 It might interest you that the beautiful jungle that gave us freedom are all but gone now...

  • @StreetArtillery

also i know this response is to your 6 month old comment but don't care :D anyways, the reason why it was so hard for the US to even put a dent on Vietnam was due to the US not having any knowledge in jungle warfare at all until AFTER Vietnam.

  • @StreetArtillery i got a bottle of vodka with a fucking cobra in it cause my mom thinks its awesome xD

  • I looooove phô

  • 0:08 he try to become Tarzan lol

  • Northern vietnam is sooooo similar to china.

  • @MirageBistro That's because their ancestors were originally from China.

  • @dodocrest

Do you agree with the axiom that Vietnam is part of East Asia as opposed to South East asia?

  • @MirageBistro Although their roots are chinese, i would put them more on the southeastern asian side because fish sauce is a staple to them like most southeastern asia, while east asia is more soy sauce.

  • @dodocrest our ancestor is not Chinese

  • I love pho

  • what a fatass lolol

  • HE ATE THATTTTTTT HEART

  • @nothienloi10

Looks like you don't know anything about Vietnam yourself.

Vietnam was annexed by France from 1853-1883, and it gained its independence from France in 1945. It was known as French Indochina at that time. That's almost 100 years of French rule.

Not to mention, it's bordered by China.
