Do you even homeschool because I am. My parents still make me wake up early not as early but like 7:00 that's not to early but, you get what I am saying. You still have to do work and crap. I this was just a video it's just wat I think.
I have to wake up at 5:30, then my bus comes at like 6:30, so when i was in 6th grade, kids were scared to walk to their bus stops, because it was soooo dark, lol
You're totally on point when it comes to government school squashing the life out of kids. Everyone must do the same work, and if you don't get it as fast as others you get left behind, if you get it first you have to wait for all the dummies to catch up. If you're a good kid you have to endure being around annoying kids all day. If you homeschool you get to be yourself with no influence other than the people that truly love you and there is less stress and much easier learning environment.
But jumping on a trampoline at noon and doing school while your eating, are you REALLY learning as much or as well as being in a school and not being distracted by cell phones and food?
@GoPatriots100 yes! i realy learned a lot in homschool and you will not be pressured. you don't need a challenging thing to do, you just need to learn so if learned when it comes to the challenge it will be easy just like i've experience.
@GoPatriots100 When boys brains lock up while doing school work they need to move their bodies. It's that feeling you get when at your desk like every part of you wants to move, needs to move and it's all you can think about, your knee starts bouncing and fingers tapping...so go out on the trampoline for a half hour and come back and conquer math with ease! I'm a HS mom and it truly makes a difference. Some maybe abuse the fun time, but it keeps kids more healthy mind and body!
@MoonbeamMama1 I guess you're right, but I go to high school (admittedly it's a small private high school) but we get 2 15 minute breaks a day where we can go outside or whatever so you can still do that AT school too. But I don't really get restless in the first place anyway :)
@LCF1996 They do. On average, I worked 2-4 hours a day on school. I had a sophmore college level education by the time I was 16. I consider myself to be on the underachieving end of homeschoolers.
It's not that it's incredible for kids to do this, merely that public school is woefully inefficient and is designed to waste as much time teaching as little as possible.
@LCF1996 Both. They do work but many of them get off with very, very short days -the depiction in the video was largely accurate for me and everyone I knew. Most states only require a minimun of 20 hours a week of work. You're getting screwed over, mein freund.
@NTMCG Well I guess it depends for each home schooled teen. For me, doing extra work has definitely paid off and will pay off for college. I think that by doing a larger amount of work, it prepares home schooled high school kids for college - which is definitely not as easy.
But unlike the stereotype, I still have a life outside of home. :-P
hey guys i'm public school and i have to wake up at 6:30 A.M but its not that bad pack your things for school and buy lunch at school go to your first class then other classes then go to lunch and hang with ur friends cuz at homeschool u don't have friends their with you in my opinion not to be mean but public school and better homeschool is kinda boring my brother is home school and he thinks its really boring cuz he's by himself with no friends
He should connect, get out there. There are huge communities of homeschoolers, ive never once felt like i wasn't meeting enough people. And tons of my friends are actually public school kids too.
@RabidSquirrelMovies unfortunately alot of the homeschoolers you "connect" with are like weird and you never form lasting friendships cuz as soon as the 2 month class or activity is over you never see them again. I'm not saying you CAN'T be normal or have friends, but school is just plain better and easier for socializing.
@pattycake101ful lol then he is LAME jk jk i am home schooled and God has blesses me with so many wonder full friends! This comment has probably made a lot of people feel really bad.....just saying.
@pattycake101ful Dude I feel so bad for yur bro. And of course this guys doesn't feel like he's not meeting enough people. If you've never had more than 2 friends (like me when I was homeschooled), then how would you know what to compare your current life to? I went to a regular school for my two last years of school and it changed my life.
This guy is, unlike most homeschoolers, smart and pretty funny. I'll say that.
ROFLOL...the comments make me laugh too! I wish all my kids knew were mommy and daddy...too bad...my house is always full of kids who want to hang out with my kids.

I also have a facebook, and I have time to waste on youtube.
I HATE HOMESCHOOL....its so gay i miss public school wit friends goin out to eat in highschool i bearly got homeschooled and i hate it so much i would do anything to go back ....homeschool must be for smart kids who dont need help and r very anti social....HOMESCHOOL SUCKS

Ok for one...how is homeschooling gay? Two, Just because a person is smart doesn't mean their parents decided, oh, we should homeschool our child! Three, I am homeschooled and I am NOT anti social and neither are my homeschool friends. I have lots of friends public schooled and homeschooled. You can voice your opinion about homeschool sucking for you but dont throw other stuff in there like homeschoolers must be anti social. It just means homeschool may work for some people but not you.

I'd rather sacrifice freedom to do whatever I want during the day to get a better education. I know my parents are smart, but they can't, oh, teach me about colonial age Europe in a way I would find fascinating, like teachers I have had have indeed done.
I'd never want to be home schooled, even though the idea is attractive...the school I go to can teach me a thousands times more then homeschooling ever could.
I have been public schooled and homeschooled. I felt trapped in public school, the whole class was distracting, and I felt limited by the schedule. Homeschooling has been great. I can spend as long as I need to understand a concept or as little. My family goes on field trips to different places and museums so I get hands on experience. I feel like I have excelled any education a public school teacher had given me. Homeschooling has been great, and its nothing like you think.
Um, no, for *me* it is EXACTLY what I think. It is different for every person. I still think 'd get a better experience at school then at home. Then again, I go to one of the top private schools in the U.S., so don't have to deal with the crap that sometime happens in public schools. Teachers are happy to help us as much as needed, and there are on average 15 students per class.
thats awesome for you! You are right every kid is different. You are lucky to be able to go to a private school because public schools are really, really bad..trust me.
ur both right lol for some people, it works. others just rn't cut out for it, and every family has a different method. I would just want to make sure you don't take the presumption that all homeschooling is sitting in a room with your mom and/or dad as they lecture you. This is one of the best homeschool videos I've ever seen! I love how the milk goes all over the table! I laughed for like ten minutes straight. And the gun part was just hysterical! Keep up the good work!
Having endured those many years in the public school system and only being able to "glimpse" the homeschool lifestyle during my weekends, I find myself wanting to do it all over again the right way... at home. Great job guys! You should be very proud of your work (and thankful for your lifestyle).

you know whats funny? I love how public schoolers say that you cant make alot of friends when your homeschooled... that statement is really stupid
In public school, you can make friends CAUSE THERE ARE PEOPLE AROUND YOU!
but in homeschool..it teaches you how to be social and find FRIENDS that aren't around you

This is one of the best homeschool videos I've ever seen! I love how the milk goes all over the table! I laughed for like ten minutes straight. And the gun part was just hysterical! Keep up the good work!

I loved every bit of this video, except the gun at the end. It's why I rated it a 4 instead of a 5. Thanks for the creativity!

Having endured those many years in the public school system and only being able to "glimpse" the homeschool lifestyle during my weekends, I find myself wanting to do it all over again the right way... at home. Great job guys! You should be very proud of your work (and thankful for your lifestyle).
