  • I've got Nodular Basal Cell Carcinoma, I am always very aware of the damage that the sun can do. I've tried to find a vitimamin D suppliment and managed to get some tablets with vitamin D 400iu's but there is aspartame in them so I had to stop taking them, I'm very fair skinned, I live in Ireland. I'm going to have a operation on the 21st. of January 2011.... it's the FYCR that has me worried.

  • Stay outt the sun and the cancer caskets (tanners) my cousin just lost her life, fighting this disease and she used to tan a lot! She was only 46 yrs. old w/ an 8 yr, old daughter and a long time husband. May you now be at total peace Geri Lynn, I love you & we'll miss you! Being tan is NOT worth being dead!

  • "Stay out of the sun" is the worst advice you can give, sunshine makes the body produce Vit. D which actually fights cancer.

You mention "tanners", well, many of these have cheap poorly filtered tubes (illegal for use in such), this and overdoing the tanning is what is dangerous. Not getting some sunshine.
