Nice celica, I have a 2002 celica GT too same color and it's my first car as well. I want to replace my muffler it's so loud that makes me got like 2 tickets already....so I know it's kinda slow, but I have to go with low RPM in order to reduce the loudness, so then it makes it even slower!! lol i do 4th gear in local sometimes, just try to dont get pulled over ..
Eh, its not incredibly slow in comparison to some of the cars out there. It was never intended to be a race engine by any means, its just a base model engine that does what it is supposed to pretty well. Compared to the Evo's, WRX's, and SRT's, yes they are very slow, even the GTS Celicas.
The Celica made more of a visual statement, rather than putting down impressive numbers and times. And to be quite honest, for a first car, I don't think I did half bad.
No, its not very loud at all. A different sound than stock, but not much louder. To be honest with you the first time I cranked it up after I got it, I was kind of disappointed. Then I drove with it, and it sounds so much better when driving as opposed to free revving it. I am a big believer in HKS though, a little pricey, but very worth it.
Thanks man, and yeah, the GTS's are a hell of an engine considering their displacement and whatnot. I have seen a few heavily modded ones that are incredibly impressive.
The night before this video i had some jack asses egg my car. They even threw one into my exhaust. I tried to wipe it out before i started my car up but i only got a little. The only think i could think of was to try and rinse it out. It worked for the most part and got the majority of the egg out.
The trade off was I had some water in my pipes. So for those of you who were wondering, there ya go. It's stainless steel so no rust. Sounded like a good idea on short notice.
where would i get interior plastics? like where the radio goes?

Sounds pretty good! I wish I had the GT-S because the VVTL-i sounds awesome with a nice exhaust, but the GT is pretty sweet :D
