Notice how he's using his left hand. He's using it to hold the Sitka up. Otherwise, the pack would tilt or even fall on its face. By contrast, a good pack would be able to stand on its own so you can use both hands in packing.
The extra pockets you made with the double sided velcro is pure genius and i would really appreciate it if you could make a video showing how you made them and especially how you stuck them in there with (if i understood correctly) nothing but glue?
Wow i got stuck there too, lucky we were outside when the thing happend and we had water in the car, it took 45 minutes to get to ny and it took 4 hours to get out ..... it really changed how i saw what i should carry so now my purse and car can double as SHTF thing. I'm right now working on a tool kit for my car.
you mentioned a laptop but didn't feature it in the video. I'm a student who probs will be carrying a 15 inch laptop daily with some text books. Do you think it will fit? I was debating this and the gearslinger and the sitka and the gearslinger just seems like it would make it look like i was going for a hike through the mountains every time i go to class! too big. do you think that the sikta is slim enough to remain stylish? thanks.
i know you know that a endura is not a throw away knive, but i think i understand that you are just saying that it isn't a chris reeves or strider. ... great review though
@rollwithak Right, I wasnt bashing the knife in any way. Its just I've had it so long and have so many others that if I was to loose it or have it confiscated it wouldn't be a total tragic loss. Thanks for the comment.
Just quick constructive critisism from one guy, I hope it's not taken as jab. I often use these reviews to find aftermarket "after-issue" gear for work. One thing I would like to see is more review of the product, less "show and tell" of what you carry.
@05MagnumSXT Thank you as well for taking the time to give us a detailed view of equipment. You, and some others, are becoming an important part of the research and decision process leading up to purchase.
Maxpedition advertises as compatible to hold a 100oz hydration bladder, but the picture on the website appears to be a little too flat to comfortably house one. Have you tried it?
Do you like 5.11 Tactical or Maxpedition products ?? I know probably Maxpedition is more popular and well known? But also I think this brand is sort of a trend / big money making company. When I saw their catalogue, I realized how much similar products they were selling for super high cost.... made me wonder. i think Maxpedition has hot items and not so hot items. I like both of them. I also like few more not so too well known, but high value products like UTG, etc.
So overall how do you like the pack since you first got and really got to use it for awhile? Hold up well???? Thanks. I got one on the way and can't wait! I hope it's not too big.. I kind of wanted the Maxped Noatak
great review! and great ideas with the extra pockets on the front compartment!
There are no maxpedition stores that I can physically go to where i live, so before i purchase one I just wanted to confirm that you have a macbook pro 15" and that it does fit? I keep seeing comments of some users saying it does fit and other saying it doesn't. So any information would be great!
Thank you for the review. I work in NYC and have just scheduled a delivery for this bag late August. I absolutely love the bucket buddy idea. After I get my bag in late ...maybe you can break out that Star Bucks card a get me a cup of Java? I'll show you how I packed out my bag...meet you on 30th and 7th.
Another great video review! I like the fact that you use it as your business EDC and offer another way to utilize its features. Between you & RoscoeBA, I was convinced and just bought one. It will be my EDC work bag, carrying my usual must-have electronics (in my NeatFreak Organizer) and my netbook & accessories. Thanks!
when you say you have a laptop and it does fit... what size are you referring to? I sometimes need to lug a laptop around but I would prefer to stick with the smaller pack.
I just ordered the Sitka. What I found most astounding about this video is the restrictions that you are under...wherever you are. No pocket knife? Citation for setting a back[ack in an empty seat? I'm glad I'm in good old Oklahoma. We carry guns in OUR Sitka's. lol.
I'm a subway commuter and I have the Maxpedition Lunada. I can't agree enough how convenient it is to be able to sling it around to the front side. You might want to be careful with the exposed knife though. NYC has some crazy knife laws. I was told to keep it in my pocket without even the clip exposed.
Nice review as always. What I like to do with the outside security strap is actually run the strap through the zipper pull tab that way someone would actually have to unbutton it to get the zipper down.
I too use this bag as my Business EDC(Security Advisor) and pretty much use evrything you do except i have a Maxped EDC pocket organizer, for my small bits of gear.
Great kit Buddy and an awsome tip with the flash drive i got my own import Buisness survival shop in DK and that would be a way i could have my price list and catalog with me Thanks man
Any idea if this bag will fit a 15 inch Macbook?

What is the strap for that runs down right on the center...other then that pretty good ideas.
SUNCHIP2007 1 year ago
@SUNCHIP2007 Its a compression strap that squeezes the whole bag and makes it slimmer. It comes in handy when your on the subway during rush hour.
Thanks for the comment
