  • heya, nice vid man, sounds great!! so got a quick question for ya... So if i buy any sort of roland synth pedal what all do i need to get my guitar ready to go?? Am i gonna need one of the special pick up?? and how much do those usually run??

  • Thanks for the comment!

Yeah, you'll have to get a roland GK pickup and install it on your axe. I got a package deal on ebay for $300 for the GR30 and GK pickup. It was pretty easy to install, just took a little tweaking. email me if you need more details.

  • Thanx for the demo.

I also play with AmbiLoop sometimes.

Do you use a MIDI pedalboard to control it ?

And, did you sync your drumbox to AmbiLoop ? Or were AmbiLoop and your drumbox just set at the same tempo ?

    Cheers

  • I sometimes use a MIDI pedal board, but for this demo the control is done by the drum machine.

Synchronizing Ambiloop and the drum machine was difficult because Ambiloop doesn't have MIDI sync (I hope it will be in a future version). As a work-around, what I did was record the first layer of the guitar overdub and the basic drum pattern in the first loop. The following loops played by the drum machine are silent except for the MIDI notes that send commands. That way the drums never drift.

  • in case you havent updated it yet, it does now

  • sounds great man.

  • Sweet melody. Needs more drums...
