They make skydive jumpships scary enough that the skydivers want to jump out rather than stay in for the landing, but not so scary that the pilot also wants to jump out... the skydive jumpship at one skydive place was called "Duct Tape", and the wing attach points were slightly rounded out because the aircraft had been flown aerobatically so often (and it wasn't aerobatic...)
