it may have been a bit heavy handed of me but encouraging a dismissive attitude to something merely because u dont understand it is questionable.but no disrespect was needed indeed. ...if that is ur point,then point taken.
@skyjuiceification Some elements in Barney's films are understandable, but I think it's impossible for someone (besides the artist himself) to understand everything. It's kinda the same with David Lynch... some things are meant to be left without explanation, because the artist created them by intuition. And that's the point in Cremaster: being unable to control your creative impulses.
that is the biggest piece of horse shyt i have heard in a long time. not only do i get this work. i may be teaching a class on it in a few months. it seems to me that u have conflated ur lack of intelligence as a virtue. ur limits as a thinking,feeling person. are not automatically everyone elses limits. there are people who are smarter than u. thankfully. to suggest that because u dont really get it,that no one else does is just idiotic. not to mention egotistical .
