When you have the song plugged in on your MP3 player then you get to experience it as YOU want to with your images words or lack thereof or external noise. Being at a concert is one of the most communal things you can experience & sharing with others whether you appreciate their interaction or not is just apart of being a human fortunately or not. Just like every performance of your favorite song some days are near perfection & other days NOT.
So what do you guys do? Just stand there stonefaced while the music is played? If someone wants to clap for a band, it's because they appreciate the music and the skill that the musicians have. But I guess you're one of those people with a "holier than thou" attitude right?
You mean what you would do at a Lil' Wayne or Bane concert? The argument was about being quiet and not clapping, not how you want to dance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with clapping during a song.
@Kyylo88 well... how would you be if you were there. this music is magic. i dont know, all i'd be able to do is just stand, and enjoy it. this band is godly. i'd be too overwhelmed to do anything else.
@WeIshNotOkay ok, you're right...lets say that the way how you experienced this extraordinary music is individual and subjective for every single person
I've been listening to this band for so long now and they never get old. They can play anywhere in the world and never sing and have millions of fans feeling the same things and understanding the music. They need to team up with Mogwai and Sigor Ros or Godspeed! You Black Emperor or Sliver Mt. Zion. Or all of them. That would be so nice. Great video aside from the chatter and clapping.
then listen to it on the cd, people are just enjoying themselves let em be. get a life and appreciate the music for the music...if you truly appreciated EITS you would know that they love the elements that come from the audience but i am not going to be a tool so i'll stop there
The clapping is great. It makes me wonder just how much the band sucks it up, knowing how much each part means to the audience. It simply completes the song. No difference than a tear. Too much emotion to stay quiet.
There is a recording of an EITS show in San Pedro here on youtube. It's from 2003. The crowd is sitting quietly on the floor. That would be my kind of crowd.
For some reasons the music reminds me of "Howl's Moving Castle", when the little girl push the door at a specific time, it opens to different worlds, and she is extatic
I will not let my self live with out seeing them live one day ;)
