@zakiemon Well technically later Gamecube models had the port for component AV cables removed, because few people used it and it made them cheaper to produce. I don't believe that there was every any changes done to the N64 though.

Sega lost its edge at the launch of the SNES as sales went mostly to Sony or Nintendo. Genesis, however, IS better then the NES in many categories, but games wise, up to debate.
@UndeadPajama The Genesis had less compressed sound but the range wasn't as great as the snes. And it's graphical capabilities could surpass the snes if utilized properly. Except for games that utilized the mode 7 chip.
if any wind from a fan or you poke it while playing it will freeze. SNES 2 is no where near as good as a SNES. It's what you get when no original SNES is available.
My old wii actually stopped playing games,so a few months later I got a black wii.There actually are minor differences between the two,for instance...The controllers have motion plus built in,and they have a wrist strap that locks in instead of you making it tighter by pulling it.My cousin also got a white one that had controllers with blue locking wrist straps.The lights on both wiis are also different in some cases.So i guess Nintendo changes the wii slightly every once in a while...

My cousin, Jamo, gave me the original SNES model with Yoshi's Island and more. I later went to Replays in East Gadsden and added Super Mario All-Stars to my SNES library. That was a few years ago now. I now enjoy the Nintendo Wii, but I still use the SNES on my portable DVD player when my family and I go on long trips.
I sold my original SNES and games for $100 off a PlayStation when it came out, but it wasn't too long that I wanted an SNES again and this was the model that was available.
This model doesn't do s-video and the Game Genie no longer works, but luckily there are s-video and RGB mods out.
This is still going on today with the redesigned PS3 and the still buggy Red Ringing smoking Xbox 360 and people are still stupid enough buy redesigned systems. I just feel sorry for all the poor bastards who bought the new PSP, DSI, and last but not least the malfunctioning marvel (drum roll please) the Xbox 360 Slim giving you all the Dot of Death and scratched disc.

Sony Playstation and the Microsoft Xbox took a huge chunk of the market.. forcing Sega Dreamcast to bite the dust and Nintendo N64/Gamecube a small bite..

The gamecube actually has a modified newer model, the only difference is a lack of a digital video port which makes playing games in 480p progressive mode impossible on the newer models. If you have the component video cables for the cube you must have an earlier model cube to use them on.
Would you consider the GBA SP a GBA 2 at all? I know you said HOME console at the end, but I was wondering if anybody would consider the GBA SP a GBA 2 technically.
There will not likely be a new wii model simply for the fact that the wii is already very small and I think they want now to focus on different things

Also, back then there was an issue of consoles not having backward compatibility to you had to buy an SNES to play games for the system, so even with it being cheaper, it was also a necessity to buy some version for SNES games
you know i might get like 10 thumbs down for this but i don't like really like consoles cause the controller cord could pull it off your self like the ps2 slim and i just don't like really light consoles but i don't have a problem with them.
When I was little I got the SNES 2, being young I thought thats what all SNES looked like. When I first discovered the internet and saw the original SNES, I thought it was a redesign on the SNES 2. I even still did think that, until I saw your video here. This is some very interesting stuff :)

The gamecube actually has a modified newer model, the only difference is a lack of a digital video port which makes playing games in 480p progressive mode impossible on the newer models. If you have the component video cables for the cube you must have an earlier model cube to use them on.

Nintendo and Super Nintendo are two of the best classic consoles out there.
I have emulators of both on my basement computer, but [due to technical difficulties] it's down.
I still have a working SNES 2 but not a lot of games for it.

Will will simply become $100 itself when the time comes and its easier to make it so now since hardware is so much cheaper then it was in the 90s.
No need to make a revised stripped down version.
I also dont see any extra features that can be taken out of the Wii anyway.
Maybe the chips can be downsized, but thats it.
Every single other input/output is needed.

There will not likely be a new wii model simply for the fact that the wii is already very small and I think they want now to focus on different things
Once Wii 2 comes out, they wont want to confuse people or distract them
Also, back then there was an issue of consoles not having backward compatibility to you had to buy an SNES to play games for the system, so even with it being cheaper, it was also a necessity to buy some version for SNES games

you know i might get like 10 thumbs down for this but i don't like really like consoles cause the controller cord could pull it off your self like the ps2 slim and i just don't like really light consoles but i don't have a problem with them.

the newest generation don't have cords anymore.

Well, if you dont like light consoles or cords, I hate the PS3 but its very heavy and big and wireless.
360 isnt fairly weighty also and you can buy wireless controllers.
The Wii is light but its perfectly wireless and so much interactive fun.
Also try some of the latest FPS with it.
Will give you a different but still satisfying feel over the mouse :)

When I was little I got the SNES 2, being young I thought thats what all SNES looked like. When I first discovered the internet and saw the original SNES, I thought it was a redesign on the SNES 2. I even still did think that, until I saw your video here. This is some very interesting stuff :)
