  • she is SO fine. ^-^

  • were and when in vancouver! she is addictive makes me want to sell my trumpet for scrap!

  • wow - smooth and touching..

  • Beautiful music and wonderful interpretation! Very Good

  • BRAVO! music doesn't need to be complicated... truly beautiful rendition - truly is in the land of the music that lies beyond the notes. Thank you.

  • that's a really nice c trumpet, and her tone just cuts like butter with a warm knife

  • When Helseth comes in again with the countermelody to Båtnes' melody line, her trumpet sounds so clear and light, it's not brassy at all, rather clarinet-like. And Båtnes' bowing is very delicate, yet passionate in the B part.

This is one of my favourite videos, because I've been a violinist since I was a child, but I also always wanted to play the trumpet. That, and I appreciate classical players who are willing to play the simplest tunes. It really lets their musicality shine though.

  • She's coming to Vancouver and I get a workshop with her! I'm playing Hummel 1st Mov. REALLY excited. =D

  • Tine is fabulous! Know her dad really well and has seen Tine grow up into an amazing musician. The violinist here, Elise Båtnes, was a very well known prodigy of the violin in Norway when she was a kid.

  • i think the violin was just as good.

  • She needs to empty the trumpet valve! It's the only thing wrong with this performance!

  • @wahwahwah27 No she does not.

  • Comment removed

  • @wahwahwah27 Its her buzzing at the beginning listen again. She does not need to do so.

  • @MrMak2121 Oh please! The both of you! I've rarely heard such a perfect tone and I'm sure neither of you can control anything the way she controls her horn.

  • @Baritone45 Dude, quiet. NO NEED for you to have responded. Just sit back and listen, seriously.

  • this is my favorite christmas video of the year 2011, but do you have to be so sexy?

  • Beautiful!

  • Beautifully played and filmed. Pity about her black shoes, white would have been better ;o)

  • wow her trumpet is so shiny...

  • she is so hot

  • Shes amazing and really beautiful! her make up makes her eyes stand out a lot and her skin looks so flawless!!

  • Playing this song + rainymood is....orgasmic <3

  • the trumpet looks like roxy from BBC Eastenders :P

  • she strikes me as the kind of musician who was amazing the minute she picked up her horn. amazing and beautiful, absolutely beautiful tone production! very very very incredible!

  • awssome

  • the hottest trumpet player EVER

  • Is there an MP3 of this somewhere for download?

  • she is absolutely amazing....this is what i want to sound like when i become more advanced at trumpet

My God she is so beautiful inside as out! The music combined with her beauty, and it becomes ugly compared to its sweetness, wonderful, I'm in love!

  • This is beautiful. :)

  • I wonder what else she's good at ?

  • Beautiful photography ! (and playing, of course)

  • Her horn is so beautiful!

  • She has the most beautiful eyes. That just makes this song that more beautiful.

  • can anyone tell what kind of mouthpiece she's using?

  • I love the sound of a trumpet and a violin... Together its blissful harmony.

  • Wow, I had to see this twice.....can't wait to tell the trumpet players @ orchestra, I'm a trombonist and we have lots of fun amongst the brass, this is beautifull and she makes it so relaxing........and, and, and I am lost for words...Amazing

  • that violin wouldve been better if it was a double bass. also down an octae on the violin (hence the bass) wouldve been beautiful.

  • her eyes....pierce...my...soul...ack!...

  • wonderful

  • it is amazing how she gives such simple rhythms and an easy register to play in such amazing expression and tone OMG this is beautiful and any trumpet player can appreciate what she's doing in this piece, I fell in love just listening to her in 3 minutes...

oh yeah the harp player and violinist were nice too lol

  • Tine Thing Helseth's soul is made of ice, and her eyes can shoot deadly rays of liquid nitrogen, freezing you to death instantly. But she will only do it if you mention the words "drum corps" in front of her.

This once happened to a good friend of mine.

  • wonderful music, wunderful girls but has the cutter been drunken??? Why that terrible filter over the faces. Should these girls look like barbies, like plastics??? tztztztz, very often less is more!

  • What a horn, seriously.

  • @RevHamRules Yeah, wow. A Bach Strad, fresh off the shelf of the Woodwind & Brasswind factory. I've never seen one of these instruments before in my life.

  • she has the prettiest eyes...

  • @herbett234 That can kill you with one glance by stabbing deadly ice rays into your very soul.

  • I would really like to play this for my schools Christmas concert this year, but I'm afraid my playing wouldn't do this song much justice after listening to this recording.

  • I wonder if she needed to reapply her lipstick after warming up for this video

  • HOLY CRAP HER TRUMPET IS AMAZING *dies*

  • Beautifully played on the trumpet, yet it would be interesting to hear her play this song on a cornet instead. It would provide a mellower tone that would be quite suitable for this piece.

  • Those eyes. Wow!

  • ughhh....marry me now!!!!

  • @soundsheroincredible she can play very fast and it is clean too.

  • its not song its some holy parchment. though a very emotional declaration. Its natural those who resonate with this theme would not say so.

    An orison may be

  • Very good! :) ThU

    Thomas

  • To be a pedant, she's not playing "In the Bleak Midwinter"...she's playing "Cranham" by Holst.

But a pretty rendition in any case.

  • love her!

Takk, jenter! Gud velsigne deg!

  • its like listening to angels play !!! T.T

  • Black Shoes..................Oi Vey!

Beautifully played although i prefer the Harold Blake setting.

  • Sorry I mean Harold Drake watch?v=xNdqF9XfMD0

  • What do you mean player and musician? The way you said it sounded like she was something other than a musician! I mean...if you're a musician, that means you play.... right?

  • @eloscarinyea Well, if you are a musician I think that means usually that you play. However, I don't believe that players are always necessarily 'musical' as they could be. So saying she was a musician was probably complimenting her ability to phrase and put that extra "something" into the song that is besides the accurate notes and dynamics.

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love this!

  • This is really good Audio and video quality. Maybe I can be as good as her someday. Holy crap

  • Absolutely beautiful! Both her playing and her in general! And yes, she's definitely playing on a Xeno. @soundsheroincredible she's a classical/folk player. That's her preferred style; mine is jazz. Others might prefer weird (but still awesome) stuff by Stravinsky. Don't knock her on her preferred style. Maybe she doesn't like playing fast, but rather prefers to play lyrical. She's an amazing musician

  • @Kodee141414

    Agreed!

  • very very nice quality! But I don't understand this idea 'trumpet videoclips'

  • i'm so sick of these slow legato pieces, can someone show me a piece that she can play that has some more beat to it?

  • I watched one channel here in youtube... called PoliceSymphony

I recomend it to all of you... - Great musical videos...

  • OMG. She's so a great trumpet player. *_*

It's so amazing how she plays every song.

I play the trumpet by myself and I don't play as good as she!! :/

  • @xxSunshine93

i think there is hardly anyone who can play like her! :))

  • Nice sound of Stradivari violin! ;)

  • Beautiful video!

  • As an ambitioned trumpet player, I must admit: If I wouldn't know that she is able to play really challenging pieces for trumpet, I would say: Everybody, who knows on which side of the instrument the air goes in and where the tone comes out, can play this song! ;o) BUT: Nobody would look that well while doing it. :oD

  • @starmarky yes everybody who can play a trumpet could play the melodie of this tune. But i doubt it very much if the tone would be as beautifull as tines and if the melodic lines and the breathing would be just as fatanstic. She can sing on a trumpet. probably the most beautifful legato ever on a trumpety!! And for those who think she cant play fast: watch her haydn: same beautifull tone in a hell of a tempo

  • Her eyes look like Siberian Husky eyes.

  • This is my new image of heaven.

  • wow your very talented

  • Oh & yes the trumpet player does look & sound simply wonderful, beautiful and quite heavenly!

  • Yo,at first I was thinking,ahhh she hot!

Then after I saw the harp player I was thinking, mummm threesome possibility.

Well, then I saw the violinist and everything was instantly ruined...lol.

    No,really;very nice musical arraignment :-)

  • @Dirtywayne80  Nah..don' worry..with that hairdo' ('c mon..she's got a coupe longeuil.)I doubt she likes guys.. :P This Tine is exactly the kind of stereotype that pops into my mind when thinking "scandinavian"...

  • @diakrite WELLL you never know.......I might change her life & she may have a change of heart. ;-) *lol*

BUT,who knowsss,Is is looking real good in this video & her trumpet skills or superb!

  • @Dirtywayne80 Really? REALLY? What makes you think ANY of these women would want to have anything to do with a creep who spills out his sexual fantasies on YouTube? And btw, unlike you, that violinist has done something right in her life: She's the concert master of the Oslo Symphony Orchestra, and that's a real Stradivarius she's playing. So crawl back into your cave, and let the rest of us enjoy this piece of music without your harassment.

  • Beautifully played. Such feeling!

  • her trumpet kinda looks like a xeno. . . i wonder if she's ever tried a bach stradivarious! i have one and it's AWESOME!!!

  • @GLkamina121 Meh, Xeno all the way :P. Just got one today and it's pro.

  • @Sticky1254 Thats awesome!!! xeno's are way nice trumpets!!!! i know people who have a xeno and they really like it!

  • i wonder what kind of trumpet she plays. if i had seen her a year earlier she would have been my inspiration for pickin up the trumpet, but i watched aristocats first. but i will aim to sound like her!!!

  • beatiful song is wonderful

  • She's mesmerizing!!!

  • does anybody know where one would be able to buy this piece?

  • she inspired me to start playing the trumpet again

  • Fantastico!

  • whenever i hear her play, it's inspiring... :)

  • a duet with Botti would be cool

  • Is she playing a C trumpet?

  • @matters9319

    Yes

  • @matters9319 Yes

  • che bella, che viso angelico.

  • je to super)))))))

  • It's amazing how she's able to add such much emotion into one song.

  • @TheMrmusicman15 oh for sure man! such a simple melody but you can feel more than you hear! ha ha

  • A great piece. I have both her albums and can't wait until she releases another. I love her music. I hope to see her play somewhere in the US one of these days.

  • she has beautiful tone and poaster. i would never be able to play trumpet like her. this a amazing piece of music for trumpet.

Each time the door of paradise is still ajar and a few rays of light that brings hope reaches us even here on earth ........

    Excuse the bad translation

  • They did a great job making it feel like winter with the lighting and color scheme . . . . But that might be me. : ) I'm cold. : ) J.K.

  • As a former lead trumpet player, Tine Thing Helseth is an amazing player and musician. And when the time for me comes to check out of this world, I hope all the angels in heaven look and sound like her.

  • @vaper65 "And when the time for me comes to check out of this world, I hope all the angels in heaven look and sound like her."

    Yeah, mee too.

And I want the 3 beautiful , feminine and NAKED trumpeter, harp, & fiddle players.

I DO NOT want a naked Maynard Ferguson nor a naked Bobby Shew. Forget those two.
