I think some of it has to do with chastity...but mostly with corruption. I feel like this child thing has become "normalized" behind closed doors. I also think though, that priests get so much attention from this in the media because they are priests and it has a shock value. I wonder what % priests hold among child abusers and I wonder if it only seems like "so many priests" are doing this because it's always in the media whereas other incidents are looked over by the media.
