met a logger once who said any operator or mechanic isnt worth squat unless you got a leatherman. so i got one. very handy when working on a machine and you got a hose clamp or a pair of pliers, instead of climbing off the machine and heading back to the service truck. good vid!
I EDC a Leatherman Blast and had my local leather guy make me a sheath with a loop on one side that my Streamlight slides in and latches to with its clip. I would seriously be lost if I didn't have it on me because I use it everyday. Sure beats going after tools when this fills the needs on most little jobs. Great video!
I use the Victorinox SwissTool. The SwissTool philips bit looks better but with extension on the Wave I would rather have the Leatherman. I have been using the SwissTool for about 12 years now. I wasn't aware that the wave had all of that functionality. Great review.
Cody,I love Leatherman mt's and have wy too many, but have ou ever heard that the Leatherman founder is pro gun gun control? Thanks for another informative vid!
for your light, I would recommend you look into the streamlight microstream. I have carried this in my pocket for over a year and it has been worth gold more than once and for the price and usage of AAA it's a WIN-WIN.
Excellent video and stories too. Thank you for the effort!
I remember a while back you were talking about how you didn't like MT's because they're never as good as a designated tool for a specific job. I'm with you there & I will always reach for a real set of pliers when I can.
Good to see you updating you're philosophy on MT's now that you're working in a setting where they're useful.
The little bit/hexagon drivers with the leatherman have come in handy for me, particularly for tightening up the crappy grip panels on my crappy p238 that always comes loose.
I've got the perfect idea for the other side. My father has a mini-crescent wrench that would fit right in that pouch. I think his is a craftsman... I dunno if they still make it.
I have been loving you and how you keep it real by your introduction. It makes us listen to good music and wait for the news. In the current point and click times, it is great to wait some times. Thank you. Miss your older / original music.
Those Waves and maybe all Leathermans have REALLY sharp blades. I know you know cause i could tell by the way you were closing them .Its good to show caution around any tool.. Good job Cody
I didn't like the offset function of the screwdriver on my wave either, but I've found that if you open only the driver side arm and leave the rest closed, it creates a handle and an average screwdriver type reach.
Your right Cody I have the Charge Tti which is almost the same, it has interchangeable bits also, I think the blade steel is different but about the same awesome tool to have, I've got to get one of those extensions. Thanks for Sharing
In the other side stick a spare battery for your preon using a battery vault from county comm

I have this extension for my charge, my only complaint is I wish it locked into the slot in the leatherman tool.

Leatherman's really are a great mini-tool kit to have around...especially when you lost that "one" in the garage or back of the truck.
Thanks Cody

@dej769 google "a-letter-from-a-citizen-mr-leatherman". In his letter he denies that accusation.

Cody, I think the other side should be a small diameter, length of PVC pipe containing spare cells for the flashlight...
What do you think?
