This officer is not going to be fired or arrested for this strike. Verbal abuse is not grounds for physical restraint unless the suspect is armed and has made a physical threat. This woman was already restrained by another officer. And the officer also had no right to harass that man. You have the right to record it, get their name badge number and vehicle number. BOTH officers should be fired and charged, but they won't be.

At around 3:00 she is snatching away from the officer and being disorderly. The jerking away from an officer is considered assault and since she can see they are officers in uniform it makes it a felony. She would not obey the lawful orders of the officers. If she had done what the officers had asked so may have gotten away with a warning. Verbal commands were not working. Soft hand contact (hold) was not working. Hard hand (strike) helped. It's called force levels.

This officer is not going to be fired or arrested for this strike. Verbal abuse is not grounds for physical restraint unless the suspect is armed and has made a physical threat. This woman was already restrained by another officer. And the officer also had no right to harass that man. You have the right to record it, get their name badge number and vehicle number. At around 3:00 she is snatching away from the officer and being disorderly. The jerking away from an officer is considered assault and since she can see they are officers in uniform it makes it a felony. She would not obey the lawful orders of the officers. If she had done what the officers had asked so may have gotten away with a warning. Verbal commands were not working. Soft hand contact (hold) was not working. Hard hand (strike) helped. It's called force levels.
