The rising of the Kundalini is a serious happening and since the opening of the Sahasrara by Shri Nirmala Devi in 1970 you can experiment it for free...and feel the meaning of Yoga :Union with the Almighty ...it is not at all a gymnastic.

Really good modern art with a yoga twist. Kundalini as a creative impetus for artistic expression is appropriate title for this video. Good work! You Tube was meant for sharing art videos. This is not an example of spiritual yoga practice, but is an example of modern art.

Dear cspace1234nz, the artist was sincere in his pranayama and asana, and this mechanical aspect of yoga helps focus the mind, and assists in creating the art, hence my use of the "creative impetus". Artist may be spiritual, but asana and pranayama exhibited, are mechanical, not spiritual. You need to proceed to dharana, dhyana and samadhi, to call it yoga...hard to do in public... I was actually applauding artist for posting the art video on You Tube :) I get your point too :)

qowt9, I don't think there is so much a disagreement between us, and intellectual gymnastics about what does or does not constitute yoga practice aside, I think the artists yogi-art is truly amazing (or mybe that should be "yogis art-yoga")

My comments relate more to what some people like to call yoga these days, that is the bastardised gymnastic variations that have distorted the tradition of yoga into a gym-bunny type sport almost.

I'm off to get a giant canvas and a few litres of paint !
