  • Am I the only one who feels like they can relate to Simba?

  • The music in this scene is so moving, combined with James Earl Jones voice as Mufasa, such a great scene, so heart warming. Thumbs up if your dad was like Mufasa in your eyes when u was little. Mine sure was and still is

  • Ahhhhhh, the wonder that is James Earl Jones.

  • hehehehehe you think real lions are this friendly? HOLD ON IMA GO TRY AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS! *comes back shredded*

  • SERIOUSLY everyone please go on my channel and check out my chilled remix of this speech, (thumbs up) THANKYOU <3

  • Aight, I'll say it, one of the best movies of all time

  • what an amazing voice

  • simba's a Kittehh ^_^

  • Darth Vader is so thoughtful

  • i don't hear anyone telling redhead jokes to mufasa. oh yeah, cause they'll die.

  • im so glad disney came with mufasa's character! i love him as a dad! instead of yelling at simba when he disobeyed him he just talks 2 him :) he was the best dad

  • @popsingerstar Is there something wrong with you?, honestly, i have seen your comments on every single lion king, mufasa video, quote "mufasa is the best dad". Look this is one of the best animations and a big part of my childhood aswell. And this film brings back so much childhood memories (i miss those days), it makes me sad aswell. But i think you have to accept Mufasa is not real, its time to get over that. Sure his a great "character", leave it at that, hope this helps.

  • @PaulieBeast i know i'll stop saying that i'm sorry he's just my favorite character

  • Haven't seen the Lion King in years. Such memories....(Sniff)......so.....powerful.

  • Scar and 23 hyenas disliked this video.

  • James Earl Jones was an amazing pick for Mufasa. Awesome character and voice actor.

  • @MrEnderdragon i agree he has the best voice

  • brings tears to my eyes

  • u said it mufasa! nobody messes with u!

  • mufasa was the best dad :'( hes my fave character & love him! his death always makes me sad fuck u scar 4 killing ur own brother!!!!!

  • Such a heartbreaking and heartwarming scene.

    Extremely powerful.

  • I miss this so much.

Also, "Look at the stars, now back to me. The stars are now KINGS OF THE PAST".

It totally makes sense in my head, with Mufasa's voice.

  • James Earl Jones does have one hell of a voice!

  • Roar like Chewbacca, the voice of Mufasa

  • Darth Vader is the best Dad ever. "Noooooooooooooo!" "Shut up Luke!"

  • Darth Vader!

  • I love Mufasa's voice

  • this was one of my favorite scenes to see in the movie. It just put a smile on your face. It also made it hurt that much more to see mufasa die.

  • Mufafa's laugh gave me goose bumps haha

  • @XDFACE101 And combined with the music that plays? Cold chills for days...

  • mufasa is definitely my favourite character out of the entire trilogy..(even though part 3 was basically part 1 again) and i just couldnt control myself when i would watch the scene where he died..just when scar lets go of him, and the way he calls scar "brother"..my heart just sinks every time...rest in peace, Mufasa..

  • As a child, seeing Mufasa die was one of the most saddest moment..the image lingered on, as a scar in my heart...

  • @josafodathekal it makes me so sad too :'( mufasas my fave character & he was an amazing dad :'( fuck u scar 4 killing ur own brother. u bastard!!!!!!!!

  • @popsingerstar indeed....

  • best movie ever.

  • It's so unbelievable, that the same actor was the voice of Mufasa and Darth Veder...:)

  • its nice how the only youtube without everyone fighting in the comment box is a Lion King video. its official The Lon King is too dope everyone can relate

  • my Dad died when I was two years old, I don't even rember him... This scene always makes me cry, I wish I could remember just one moment spent with my Dad...

  • @gosia886 even though you dont remember your dad he was still there for a while. I never even seen my dad before. I dont even know how he looks like. Ive never had a father and son moment like this. I remember how difficult it was going through life without a fatherly figure in it. I remember cutting myself when I first shaved.. ahah a (even though its relatively simple). I had a stepdad but he never bothered showing me anything. Only showed his sons. I learned on my own

  • @gosia886 your comment made me cry. i am thankful for having a great father but i never realized how much i take him for granted. thank you for saying that. and your dad is with you everywhere you go, you'll meet him someday

  • Always makes me cry...if only this was true in real Nature...

  • im so glad i was born in 1994 :) i love mufasa so so much!!! he was an amazing dad & i just love him!!!!!! hes my fave character!!!!!!!!! :D

  • Mufasa ma głos czarnucha?

  • Mufasa is Darth Vader

  • My dad has always been acting like a control freak never respecting my life and my stepdad is the only one who acts like a real father and respects my life and decisions no matter what!

Having problems and arguments with your parents is a terrible thing!

  • Ouaaa la voix de Mufasa x)

  • darth vader :p

  • I cry when I watch this. Me and ma Dad are exactly the same. I mess up and think "Crap, I'm done for now" but my Dad has Mufasa's bold and yet gentle way, we end up laughing and joking.

  • "Because no one messes with your dad" *cough*Scar*cough*

  • "Because no one messes with your dad"

    Favorite line.

  • @MissBaybz mine as well

  • 1:38 One of my absolute favorite Mufasa moments. I don't know why, I just love it. There's so much in this film that I love and can't explain why. I want to live in "The Lion King."

  • @xOrashix im srry TT_TT....i didnt mean to criticize ur comment and say ur controlled by sex when i dont even know u...i look back at my comment and i realize i sounded lik a bitch..srry XD

  • Best movie ever...still... Rwar!! Lol....this was what i grew up with in the 90's, :)

  • is that Arnold Schanznger voice?

  • @ghrmember npe James Earl Jones :)

  • @thepac12andbig10suck thank you sir, at the beginning it does sound like arnold though haha

  • @ghrmember It's the same guy who made the voice of Darth Vader, James Earl Jones! :p

  • mufasa's voice is so powerful, i thought i was in trouble for watching simba go off on his own with nala and almost came close to getting killed.

  • anyone else see SEX in the stars

  • @xOrashix really you have to point that out? only a person that is controlled by "pleasure" aka sex would notice that

  • @Rugabee lol your taking this way to seriously number 1

and i'm not controlled by sex lol but were all entitled to all of our opinions

  • ;-; No! No more! ;,-;,

  • Ironic isn't it? The Big Good of one film being voiced by the Big-Bad of another?

James Earl Jones has a very distinctive baritone. Perfect for playing very deep sounding, powerful, charismatic characters - like Darth Vader or Mufasa.

  • lol im tearing up because of what happens to mufasa );

  • I'm very disappointed in you! XD

  • simba i´am your father O____o

  • Is.. That a Mickey Mouse shaped constellation when he says to look at the stars? xD

  • james earl jones really brings mufasa 2 life! he has the best voice 2 play him

  • "you deliberately disobeyed me!" everytime my parents say that i hear Mufasa say it :)

  • mufasa disciplines his lion cub better than most parents do now a days

  • i love mufasa so much :) he was an amazing dad!!! i hate that bastard scar 4 killing him, his own brother!!!!!!!!

  • I'm crying. :'(

  • that is dumb as hekk

  • "Luke, I am your father!"

  • @theguitarguymike No, Simba...I am your father!

  • I love the music in this scene... it really sets the mood!!!!

  • Mufasa was a great father! I hated King Triton!

  • Mufasa sounds just like my dad.

  • epic rap battles of history brought me here !!!

  • it makes me more sad than when i watched it as a child :/

  • The Lion King is so amazing. One of the many reasons why I like the first movie better than the second is because of Mufasa :'(

  • @BeatleGirl8D same here! the first movie is much better! mufasas my favorite character & hes the best

  • @BeatleGirl8D yeah the first one is much much better cuz of him!!!

  • mufasas my fave character :D i luv him & he was an amazing dad

  • cant c stars anymore, too many damn sky lights

  • Heil Mufasa! He would make an excellent Fuhrer. Much better than that old fart Hitler.

  • instead of yelling at simba mufasa just talks 2 him :) he was the best dad & hes my fave character i hate scar 4 killing his own brother!!! that bastard!!!!!!!! :'(

  • @popsingerstar

It's ironic too because Simba's dad is also Darth Vader.

  • @TheStimpyland yeah its ironic but mufasa was my fave character & he was the best dad :'( i hate scar!!!!

  • @popsingerstar yeah.. I got exactly the same oppinion

  • @Eradictus yeah james earl jones has the best voice

  • @popsingerstar I know, that's how kids really learn their lessons. Yelling at them will put them on the defensive and they will not listen.

  • @ManOfDeath567 yeah & yelling just makes them feel hurt! mufasa's just talking 2 simba 2 teach him a lesson :) he was an amazing dad :D fuck u scar 4 killing ur own brother, u bastard!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mufasa was the best dad & hes my fave character :'( fuck u scar 4 killing ur own brother u piece of shit!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I just watched this movie and cried so hard at his part because it's foreshadowing.

  • LOL!When I said "Simba!" the video started and Mufasa said "Simba!" too!!!I was like "Holy shit!hahaha!!" Hahaha!!

I miss mufasa!why did he have to die early in the movie, and we only get to see him once in the second movie which was supposed to have kopa!not kiara!I'm not really a fan of lionesses,so when I found out the cub was a girl i was like "Hell no!It's more fun if it's a boy!"

    so yeah....missin' mufasa :((

  • my brother & i saw "the lion king" in 3d & i got it on blu-ray 4 my birthday on november 22!!!!!!! i watch it over & over again!!! its such an amazing movie!!! :D

  • tumbs up if erb sent you here

  • This actually brought tears to my eyes. So adorable

  • Compare Mufasa's voice to my own on my channel. I am actually surprised how close it is.

  • Has anyone else ever noticed that in Lion King 2 Zira makes a big deal that Kovu caused the death of Nuka? And the same thing happened to Scar and Mufasa, but she doesn't care/notice?

  • mufasa was an awesome dad & i cry whenever that bastard scar kills him, his own brother!!!!!!

  • Jonathon Taylor Thomas's voice is so awesome.

  • @crazycjh1 compared to james earl jones not really.

  • @timoteoman13 i never wanted james earl jones voice.. i always wanted jonathan taylor thomas's..

  • @crazycjh1 Then go to a different video. His voice isn't even on par with james earl jones.

  • @timoteoman13 why should i? never said i ahted this scene infact i love this scene :) and what do you expect from a 13 year old against an adult?

  • @crazycjh1 Because of youtube decrees. Have you not heard? Decree #1:If you shall be on any video containing the voice of James Earl Jones you dare not speak about any other actor's voice being awesome for there is no comparison. It's right there in the book.

  • @timoteoman13 hahaha ok gotcha well then James Earl Jones and the "other actor" has an awesome voices!

  • Simba, join me to the dark side!

  • Fathers.....always make the difference. My pops once said, "When Daddy shows up, the bullshit stops." My man.

  • I'm crying like a baby right now. I love this movie.

  • @Mollymakeupp Seems we are two alike. Such a wonderful scene..

  • my fav disney film

  • First i tought it whas Darth Vader ..

  • sometimes i wish mufasa was a real lion! he was such an amazing dad & i hate the fact that bastard scar killed him!!!

  • Mufasa is my role model in life.

  • Whenever Me and my dad have serious talks about friends or I am in trouble it's exactly like this scene

  • I went out late on a dangerous night and disobeyed my father. Then I got in trouble with three thugs. Even in front of the cops the thugs continued threatening me! It was not until my father showed up that I was able to get out of the mess...When i came back home.....it was a similar scene.... I LOVE YOU DAD!

  • He's so fucking cute I just wanna punch him in the face D:<

  • is that darth vader?

  • @TheJosephValentino yep, seems like he's not always a terrible father

  • @TheJosephValentino Yes - It's James Earl Jones imdb.com/name/nm0000469/

  • @TheJosephValentino James Earl Jones baby, coolest voice on the planet

  • @TheJosephValentino yeah james earl jones plays darth vader too

  • @TheJosephValentino The very same voice. James Earl Jones played both Simba and Darth Vader.

  • @TheJosephValentino well its the same dude who did vader's voice soo yeah it is vader XD

  • @TheJosephValentino Yes. James Earl Jones.

  • i hate scar sooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!! mufasa was an amazing dad & he was the best :'(

  • i love mufasa.. much more than simba..

  • @capsicase i luv him 2 :)

  • after watching the afi clip of james earl jones talking about his role as mufasa, he said "they imposed my facial expressions, into mufasa." never noticed it before, but now that he mentioned it, it stands out like a sore thumb. gotta love this movie.

  • you deliberately disobeyed me!

  • Such great animation!!

  • why does this have so many views

  • @westtiger1234 Because it's a great scene from an amazing film

  • No, Simba, I am your father.

  • This scene makes me tear up :)

  • 21 hyeenas disliked this vid

  • i got the lion king on blu-ray 4 my birthday on november 22!!!! i watch it over & over :)

  • I love this scene. It's so emotional, since this is the last time we see Mufasa before the stampede scene. It carries a sweet message, and to see how Mufasa disciplined Simba is how parents today should.

As Always, I've been trying to figure out if there is a special easter egg in those stars.

  • Mufasa rocking a bad-ass lion perm. Royal perks

  • @RavenandKidFlash Mufasa rules. :D I wish he was my dad. Mufasa would never have walked out on me in public during a football tournament like my dad once did. :(

  • @doodlecheesebug2 Sucks doesn't it? :/

  • @RavenandKidFlash It does, but happily though, he [my dad] HAS been there for me on plenty of occasions. :)

  • huh? i wonder if this is what darth vader would have been like to his son, seeming that is the same voice lulz.

  • from 1:21 to 1:31 is basically where I start to lose it, haha. It's been what, 17 years since i saw this in the theater as a kid and it still gets me.

  • I can't help but get choked up at this scene :( Just reminds me of how I used to be with my dad when I was a kid.

  • the sky changes a lot over the course of the conversation!

  • funny how the dad is 30 times bigger but slightly smaller eyes :D

  • @xerokine

Count me in... I noticed the similarity between the two when I first saw this film.

  • "That's because nobody messes with your dad."

    Mufasa is boss.

  • This is an enchating moment in animated history

  • mufasa was an amazing dad :'( fuck u scar 4 killing ur own brother!!!!

  • @popsingerstar i know seriously!! i'm a 20 year old guy and the scene when mufasa dies still makes me cry :'( it's sooo sad!!

  • @masbarrena sometimes i cry at this scene cuz its their last time 2gether :'( well at least it was a good last time they had

  • @masbarrena he was a kick-ass dad! i hate that piece of shit scar 4 killing his own brother!!!!!!!

  • Never get tired watching this scene since 1994 :)

  • Mufasa is a badass father :D

  • just watched the lion king how can you even really love mufasa he doesn't talk that much? he dies like 25 minutes in

  • I love Mufasa as a father. When he is upset with Simba he just talks to him reasonably. He doesn't feel the need to yell or scream (other than that "Simba!" lol) or use violence. More parental relationships need to be like that.

  • @cait72590 yeah he doesnt yell at simba or raise his voice he just talks 2 him 2 teach him a lesson i luv mufasa

  • This scene is so beautiful!!! It's incredible that a man who gave voice to an evil father like Darth Vader can also give the voice to a loving and careful father like Mufasa. James Earl Jones is such a great actor and he deserved his Oscar!!!! Bravo!!!

  • Lessons in parenthood from a cartoon lion. God I love Disney :D

  • "The great kings from the past look down on us from those stars. So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you.. And so will I."

*sniff* As if Mufasa knew that he would die young..

  • i wish my dad lectures me like this....instead he screams at me

  • Mufasa sounds like my old man, ha. Especially when he yells out "Simba!".

  • rapidly press 6 first move the next meter around then rapidly press six thunbs up if u found it

  • if i saw a falling star, does that mean its a mad king? :C

  • little things like that 0:12 has hidden messages, thats what the old Disney did, it made educated people with good morals, that you aren't really big enough to go and fight the best, and but you will be in time, you just have to appreciate your age, whereas the new Disney is in you face, about fame, popularity, stupidity. Bring back this Disney that will always live on through my eyes!

  • @HollieMayWright Yeah, I like the side of Disney that means well, and wants to bring good into the world with their movies, rather than the power-hungry money-making company Disney. =/

  • @HollieMayWright I like the old AND the new disney. This is why I have a hard time reading comments on classics like this. I don't think anything's one with watching the old stuff. But I hate how people always have to bring out. How the old disney is bad.

So yeah I'm in the middle.

  • The father Darth Vader would have been.

  • darth vader and in sandlot. james earl jones is a beast
