  • real sensitive!

  • Amazing tuner! Clear reception and powerful sound output. Great find.

  • I don't see any transistors in there. There are a couple of very small metal envelope tubes in there (Nuvistors).

  • @douro20 So that's what those things are. They look like the old fashioned metal transistors.

  • This is from back when the Sansui brand actually meant something- high-fidelity audio equipment of uncompromising quality.

  • I had the Sansui 500 (model ?) I think that was the model, all tube, I had to replace the power transformer.

Mine had more rocker switches and had two good sized output transformers.

I had it in 1970 and let me tell you it pulled in WWVA in Wheeling like gangbusters.

Had it hooked up to 2 AR2aX speakers.

    What model is your Sansui?

  • @old64goat Cool! Come to think of it, I didn't check the model.

  • Wow these are nice,I want one.

  • Wow that sounds good. My first really good amplifier was a Sansui 777 transistor. Never thought about their tube stuff, but that sounds great! Looks nice too!

  • @AllAmericanFiveRadio The amazing thing is that this was a thrift-store find! Why would someone donate such a wonderful piece of equipment?! Who cares! I'm just glad I got!

  • wow that reciever is realy sensitive and has good recption

  • @compwiz878 It's been a while since I last used this receiver and it surprised me when I made this video at how good the quality is!
