I think you would agree that in order to discuss something logically, you have to define your terms. The original video (which was a work of poetry, and ought to be judged as such) was implicitly defining religion as the legalistic pharisaic religion that many people practice, since that is what Jesus attacked. I am sorry sir but I once believed in my Religion and my life was shit, I took a new lead and always throughout believing in Chrisitanity I believed in Jesus, but not him being the son of this so called God. Once I started realizing in my eyes Religion is made up of fake beliefs made over time I took a lead and just focused my beliefs on Jesus. My life has flipped upside down coming off of a drug addiction I used to have.

I think you would agree that in order to discuss something logically, you have to define your terms. The original video (which was a work of poetry, and ought to be judged as such) was implicitly defining religion as the legalistic pharisaic religion that many people practice, since that is what Jesus attacked. You defined it as a set of religious beliefs.
As long as you are using different definitions, there is no point in arguing.

Jesus claimed to be the Son of God, there is no gray area here. Either He is who He said He was or He was a liar.. He cannot be considered a "great moral teacher" because His claims of divinity would make Him a horrible liar. Jesus Christ IS the Son of God, whether you want to accept it or not. He was beaten, died on the cross, rose again after being DEAD for three days, and ascended to Heaven. All you need to do is accept His payment for your sins, turn from them, and put your trust in Him.

Sorry, I don't think you can compare works of literature (the Bible, bball's poem) to a math problem. Yes, bball does misuse the traditional meaning of the word religion. However, in modern culture, "religion" has a connotation synonymous to self-righteousness. Get some social skills and try again. Try looking at TheAmazingAtheist's vid, it is a much better, less whiny/nerdy version of your argument. Try to answer a sleek poem like that with something that grabs people's attention.

@ejt2393 I dont understand why this is so hard to comprehend. Jesus, in all those verses you quoted, talks about a 3rd person called 'The Father'. Hasn't it occurred to you that Jesus is PROBABLY talking about another person called God? You still haven't given me a verse where Jesus Himself says that HE.is.God. Thats right...there is no such verse. Follow the words of Christ and understand what hes trying to say. Try not to give it your own meanings.
