  • I dont know who thought a rotary was a better engine than a standard piston driven engine, but you sir are terribly wrong. and not just in terms of technicalities, normal engines sound soooo much better than any buzzy rotary...

  • COOL!!! another angle sweet

  • I sometimes wonder if it's kids on youtube arguing, or grown adults.. I'm assuming grown adults.

  • 0:03 holy crap its comeing back down

  • wyoDpMVwxFw Same as this one, different angle.

  • this is what all rotaries deserve

  • dam sabotage

  • even when they explode they sound awesome.

  • @manowar821 Yes they do

  • I love it how everyone starts cheering after the engine blows up. There is something great about seeing thousands of dollars disappear from someone else’s pocket.

  • blown up rotary is A good rotary

  • i like when it exploded it went "peewww"

  • well imo i like v8's over these sound reason but i heard one of these and i did not mind the sound of it bets the hell out of a 4 cylinder but i dont like this model rx7 shape only one i dis like the new one is good the older ones are good but that just my option

  • aji8 is a gay troll which lives under a bridge with a bottle of lube in hes left hand and a dildo in hes right

  • @rotaryman2144 hey nice name lol

  • You don't stick a supercharger on top of another supercharger, fucking stupid mazda

  • @mbopm not too sure what your going on about here

  • Is it just me or did it make an "OOOWWW!!" sound before it died? Lol! Then the bonnet pops up and just flops like its had enough or something! Lmao!

  • Is it just me or did it make an "OOOWWW!!" sound before it died? Lol!

  • KA-MOTHERFUCKING-BOOOMSHAKALAKA!!!!! No seriously, sucks when that happens, another dead engine to the graveyard!!!

  • V8s suck.... especially American made ones. German engineering can get 350+ hp out of straight six, while american needs 8 cylinders to get 300. Americans don't even make real muscle cars anymore. How can you have a muscle car that's good for the economy? You can't. Plain and simple. Chill out with all this nonsense hating on an engine that can handle more power than your V8s, and hop on the rotary boat.

  • Any engine can be made to go fast a like the old saying "speeds just a matter of money, how fast do u wanna go"

  • @DorfaMod compare the weights of your average german i6 to that of an ls7 ;)

  • @DorfaMod umm, since when did the best american v8 only produce 300??? an ls7 gets 505 hp..and if you still want american power.. the GM 7.5 V12 is as small and light as a v8 but has 750 hp, 750 torques. tht was 5 years ago...

  • poor rotobomb. They do that sometimes. oh well.

if people would leave them close to stock, they're a nice little balanced car, but i've not seen many built rotary engines at the track that hold up over repeated hi-power passes. That's a nice road race car, not a drag car.

  • chuck norris is in that engine bay

  • scotty beam me up!

  • Vroom Vroom Vroom PEEWWW

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA NOTHING BETTER. A PIECE OF SHIT ENGINE GIVING UP THE GHOST IN A PIECE OF SHIT CAR.

  • Get rid of that rotary POS. The car will be great with a piston engine.

  • Easy per displacement the F1 engine BMW used in the turbo days of the 80s made more power per displacement than that 3 rotor did. 1.5L and 1500hp when turned up. Single turbo too god knows what it woulda done if they would have been able to increase the efficiency with sequentials.

  • hahahaha you guys crack me up , this is the once a year update on what happened, the motor is fine it fired up in the pits after a new burst panel was fitted, it had a intake system backfire, clean an simple, and if any of you have been around any form of mechanical supercharge drag car v8 6 or 4 or rotary you would know what a supercharge backfire does to burst panels .

The car had ran plenty of good numbers and good runs, 8.80 @ 151 was its best

  • the rotary engine is still young comparing to the fact piston engines have been used since the early 1800s when they ran off of steam. so all of you quit bitching because something thats been around only 40 yrs or so isnt perfect. i had all 3 gen. and ran the dog shit out of all three and never blew the engine. maybe if dumbasses would keep the oil changed their wankels would last longer. ive saw a whole lot more rods fling through the hood at the drag strip. not to mention the knocking piston

  • @JuanPapaNicolao whattru talking about? i am an rx-7 guru. ive owned 3 of them.

  • how many of those loosers cheering in the stands have anything that couldve beat that little rx?

  • Is that a roots style blower on that beast? Because thats B.A.

  • ups

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooah

  • Dont know max rpm for that one but that sounded to bey waaay above.

  • 20 b and supercharger bad combi lol

  • Braaaaaap.....Bang

    Rotary power =]

  • take a loser to know one little man

Tu eres un maricon y te gusta mamar PENE CABRON !!!!!!

  • nope you fail cause you couldnt afford a REAL v8 CAR

  • takes alot more to rebuild a V8 pos than a rotary.

  • @JuanPapaNicolao oh yeah cause rx-7s were soooo cheap. you dont know what the hell your talking about.

  • @danrichards23 stop talking shit i love my rotary powered rx7 fuck V8's

i could make do with what i currently have if your gonna bitch about the Rotary engine not being reliable get a Honda or Acura and stop trashing rx7 owners half of the people talking shit in this vid have NO CAR

  • @JuanPapaNicolao if rotary engines are so good how come only like 4 cars have ever came with them. Im a v8 guy and honestly i kinda like the rotary design. The have very few moving parts. and litre wise nothing really can match them but there is some that go to my local drag strip and they all run like shit. Not slow shitty just shitty. they backfire shoot huge flames out of them and are never consistent ever. they run hightens some times and thats not running right so i bet they could go faster

  • @REGALBOY82 if they run like shit its because they either rebuilt it WRONG or its just not tuned some dudes just fucking over do it with blowers n GIGANTIC turbo's n nitrous n shit, a rotary engine can only handle but so much before it self destructs

  • @JuanPapaNicolao Well a speed shop owns it and everone laughs at it because its the only imports drag car and it runs crazy. It got some major boost goin to it. HUGE turbo. I see alot of potential if it would run right. i would bet a 8 second 1/4 would be close if it ran right. but it never has had one good pass in at least the 3 year i seen it there. then theres a turbo mustang that comes every now an then that runs a high six. Just gets it ready for Norwalk at my strip,

  • lol

  • @REGALBOY82 They Backfire Because they have whats Called The RATS nest REMOVED! its All The Emissions Equipment Vacuum Lines and Hose's. No emissions Equipment = Back fires. and what do they Idle like? if its Like Lumpy High Idle They are Ported. Ported = Intake and Exhaust Timing are Way Closer. They range from Mild street port to a Peripheral Port.

  • watch?v=Z0SNQ9QuSSg what rotary reliability probs? look at these runs ....

  • aji8 = gay troll

  • Look, im not going to rag on him anymore. However, The only thing that needs repaired is the lubrication system. The oil meetering pump is not strong enough and it does not get the seals lubricated properly.

Get the OMP removed or do the mod so that it uses 2 stroke oil. Or do the mod and premix at an ounce a gallon.

We do the premix and left the OMP on. And ours it at 189K miles.

  • LOL...premix? You mean like an old weedwhacker or chainsaw. Even my weedwhacker is a 4 cycle. It is 2010 now slow one. Time to quit living in the past with your weak engines that ruin.

  • lol? Past? Dude you're living in the past, you fucking idiot.

lolumad? You're driving in 110 year old tech. :D

PLEASE for the love of God STFU. And actually GET a car kiddo.

  • LOL..you are a loser for thinking that as the industry has spoken and the rotary loses. Get a clue moron as piston engines rule and that is why they are in just about 100% of the cars in the world.

  • id rather replace some SEALS than sit there putting a fucking piston jigsaw puzzle together along with the fucking valves cams lifters n shit FUCK THAT SHIT ITS ROTOR OR NO MOTOR

  • Then you will have no motor as the rotary is in the shop again for apex seals. LOL

  • You need to get off the computer and get out into REAL life, aji8.

I said I would not rag on you, but it's so hard NOT to. GET A LIFE. You have been at this for, oh, 2 years now.

  • I have been saying all this for this long and you idiots still don't have a clue. Now who is the loser. It is you moron.

  • NO my friend it's you.

Give my you're phone number, i wanna bitch slap you, fucking little punk.

  • why is it that only the irresponsible and incompetent assholes talk shit about the rotary engine...

v8's 4 cyl's are as common and as stupid as assholes that drive them

thats why i beg to differ

  • Don't beg to differ becuase you are a moron or you are wrong. Beg to differ becuase you have a clue which you do not.

  • @aji8 ,fried rings, bent valves ,thrown rod, fucked pistons , blown head gaskets , cracked head or manny ,fucked cams ,TIMING you gay ass + a Drunk REDNECK MECHANIC = ,,,,,too much bullshit

    if you ask me

a couple of seals + good housings x a REAL Rotary Technician.divided that by .( your mickey mouse mechanic).. = ROTARY FTW !!!!!

  • Yep, things you RARELY see on a piston engine, some none. What is a "fucked cam"? You are a total moron and don't realize that the rotary is junk and fails even when stock. Rotary FTLosers like juanpapa

  • @aji8 hehehehehe stop picking on something you dont have much information on. so you see JUST ONE rotary blow BIG DEAL i cant mention countless amount of times ive seen big v8 cobras go to shit just by doing a burnout, YEAH AMERICAN QUALITY, rotarys will rev higher than a piston engine, and carry the power farther at higher rpms as well, rotarys with the right tuning and maintenance will last forever the same rule applies to a piston engine stop picking on rotarys dont hate what you cant catch

  • ok, this engin is the all time best, it is practicly 12 times better that a four stroke and who ever invented it is awsome XD

  • I am a big fan of the Rotary engine, the smoothest power ever. Had a '86 RX-7 which was a blast to drive. Currently own 4 RX-3's. But when these engines blowup, they remind me of a party popper....they always blow the hood off/open.

  • Search and you'll see the piston engines get damaged too !!

  • True, but not like the rotary. They even have a difficult time at stock power levels getting past 100K.

  • OK ! I am not going to deny that rotary doesn't last longer than honda. But honda last longer than some other make! My point is that its poorly designed, cheap! Mazda didn't even want to make plates out of aluminium for this sport car ! But newer engines are better than older engines. So I could say that in time it'll change, just gotta give some time, they will get better and the piston engine will not because it is on the top already, can't get any better!

So are the rotarys really junk ?

  • My 13b has 200K on it and its still strong. I bet your some little piss ant who had a GLX swapped a TII in to it ran to much boost and blew your motor and are now blaming the motor for your stupid cutting corners and not knowing how a rotary works. The Rx7 is the second most winning car next to the 911 but the 911 has been around how much longer with how many more generations? This is a "test and tune" run and as we can see here he did not put the 20b back right. its his not the motor fault.

  • Keep dreaming rotard. The rotary is a glass engine better of as a boat anchor.

  • This kid's only subscriber drives a rotary. How sad.........

I'm sorry, but you have to be the most stereotypical minded person I have yet to see on youtube. Unless you can show everyone, personally, and on video that you can either:

    1. Do better on building and engine, or.

    2. Show us all how garbage you treat you're cars.

Then shut up. I'm doing the universe a favor by saying you need medical help, more in the mental department.

You're not 33 years old, my friend.

  • I don't have to show you anything, the autobile industry has. Rotary engines are not popular and are in fact replaced by piston engines when they fail which they usually do. You failed once again bob.

  • Comment removed

  • Why are you arguing with a piston lovers, piston engines never break!! They are also smaler and lighter and and make a lot more HP per its size. And they are much simpler, piston engines are the best !! They completely forget about that when they do build a high HP piston engine they gotta completely replace everything on it made out of titanium or something to make it last for a litle bit. The only crap is with rotary engine is that it takes more petrol, otherwise it's prety cool!!

  • I love how you guys can't admit what the vid shows. Too funny. The rotary is junk.

  • LOL...junk rotary. This is expected.

  • errrrrrrr piston engine drag cars blow up like that too just go watch top fuellers you fucking retard. everytime i watch a video i see your ugly name commenting if you dont like it why watch the video you fucking retard. probably another 15 year old american kid with no clue. fuck i hate americans.

  • I have more than a clue than you as I know that this normal for the rotary and NOT for the piston engine. You are just ignorant. I am used to it from you rotards

  • @aji8 its not "normal" for a rotary engine. Ur obviously a v8 boy and thats fine. The amount of top fuel passes ive seen that actually go full length is not many compared to the amount of half length blowups ive seen. Every engine see's its limits at some stage, whether it be by supercharger failure, intercooler piping failure. Or engine. It happens to all.

  • @kamzyp yo tru dat man im with u on that i seen like the same guy commenting on several rx8 videos talkin shit on rotary engines. its funny how a guy can think he knows so much right?

  • your a fucking retard if you think rotary is junk. do a little research first.

  • wow! you have noo idea of what youre talkin about, do you even HAVE A CAR?!

  • who wants Kentucky fried rotary! lol

  • THE END!!

  • I think that the problem with the supercharged rotary engines is, that the exhaust gases are still burning while the rotary plate is moving to the intake.

You can hear the engine turning down normally, so I don't believe they are really damaged.

  • Because they are trying to get down to the piston engines level . . . ^^'

  • lol typical rotary...

  • why do rotarys explode lol..

  • Ouch, hate to be his wallet!!

  • Ouch - looks expensive!

  • lollllllllll

  • FUCK!

  • tubbed!!

    that thing looks gorguz!!

    on fire or not lol

  • hahaha you cunts know nothing, it stopped asap becuase it has a mech fuel system, revs stop engine stops, its that simple, it had a dribbling mechanical injection system and the magneto ignition system was being set up still, it blew out the burst panel under the blower and stopped, the boys fitted a new burst panel and it fired back up again, got it derrrrrrrr

  • Show me a stock reciprocating engine the same size as a 13B that can match it in power.

  • Show me one that will last.

  • It's fairly obvious you just don't know how to take care of one. Keep the oil full and perform routine maintenance and it will last you a life time, though you might have to change the apex seals once or twice.

  • own one then ask that question

  • same size... because an ls1 weighs like 50 pounds more....

and this 20 b weighs as much as a big block...

  • 20b is 300pounds

  • the 13b rew weighs 380, how did they add 50% more engine, and lose 80 pounds exactly?

  • lol i can take a 13b in my arms. for sure its 380pounds... lol

But it depends if you're talkin bout complete engine w/ intake and turbos or the block only...

  • what good does just an engine block do?

2 people can carry a cast iron 454 block no problem, and a cast iron 350 block could,if need be, carried by one person, the ls1 is aluminum and the block weighs like 116 pounds, according to hot rod magazine

(note that is a 100% bare block)

  • i weighed my gsl se 13b with trany 260 pounds light

  • well i built one at work, and the block was 145 pounds shipped, about 10 pounds of that was shipping materials at most( straps etc), so unless your tranny and everything else you need to actually make it run weighs only 115 pounds or so...

  • Hayabusa!

  • WINNA WINNA CHICKEN DINNA !!!

  • hemm... Mach Z 1000cc 170hp stock

    yamaha r1 1000cc 4stroke 170hp stock.

    Yamaha Apex turbo 400HP

But i know the rotary has more potential to make big power.

    LONG LIFE TO ROTARIES

  • @pottersrevenge show my a stock 13b that will go 400k on the same internals.

  • say nothing more.

  • You'd make a good boat anchor, aji8.

  • Truth about the rotary hurts rotard. Deal with it.

  • @aji8, please stop driving your mothers Hyundai around, you might get some more respect.

Trolling rotary videos seems your MO, do you do anything else? I didn't think so.

Proud rotard here. But I still love V8's, I don't put shit on other peoples cars, each have their own characteristics.

  • I don't have a Hyundai, but some of the new ones are cool. Face the facts. The engine is junk as the video illustrates. I am glad you love V8s as to not would be stupid. I guess there is hope for you yet.

  • @aji8 v8 is for guys who have teeny weenie penis syndrome, if you need a 5, 6 ,7 liters to do the job then you're not the right guy for the job. diesel+turbo=unbeatable german tech

    rotary/wankel=unbeatable german tech

v8 is nice but , what have you done for me lately?

live you're dreams, we will live ours. and stop trolling, you are getting desperate. really. no one likes you and you smell funny

  • Sounds like you have the small penis syndrome as you are the one with the lack of displacement syndrome. I am fine with my piston engine (no lack there) but hated the rotary when I owned one. The rotary is garbage. I am in awe of your complete stupidity naming a weak, unreliable, finicky, polluting, seal blowing, oil burning, housing warping, fuel wasting, always flooding, POS powerplant as "unbeatable German tech" It is obvious you live in your dreams which are delusions. Enjoy your rebuild.

  • @aji8 protip: the NSU ro80 was a long time ago. Rotaries are different now.

  • @oilburnin that cocksucker really needs to get a life. he is commenting on every rx video on youtube.thats bad when you see a name like aji8 and youve saw it so many times you remember it.

  • @oilburnin~ Unbeatable German tech?!.....AAAHAHAHAH!!

U moron!.... the Wankel is a totally inferior design to a piston engine!

They're absolute trash!.... why do u think ONLY Mazda made them??

People who are into Rotaries are either those who dont know shit about physics OR just because of the "wank factor" of having something different OR both.

  • @marek0086 Mazda have the rights to make them, nobody else is allowed, and what do you mean about rotaries and physics?

  • @yeahnahsweetas~ Due to their inherent design, they cant harness as much energy from the fuel as a piston engine can. They cant handle anywhere near as much detonation as a piston engine, they cant produce as much area under the power & torque curves as a piston engine, they wear out MUCH faster than piston design, due to their design they have to burn oil.

    Conclusion: They're just junk.

  • @yeahnahsweetas anyone can make rotaries... mazda has the right to its design of the wankel...

nobody wants to make rotaries, hell even mazda only puts them in 1 model...

  • @yeahnahsweetas GM was going to put a Wankel rotary in their 1970's Vegas. They stopped development because they made no sense... poor fuel economy and longevity. In short, Mazda is the only company that sees potential in the design.

  • @oilburnin V8 is for smart people that want a reliable engine.

Rotary is for people that like multiple rebuilds. Rotary is junk/.

  • @oilburnin

obviously someone who hasnt owned a V8 as a normal car. They cruise better than any other motor, they tow better than any other motor, they sound fantasticnand yet you can kick the arse out of the car in a ploom of tire smoke when you like.

I think rotaries are amazing, how 4 moving parts can make so much power per litre is astonashing. But to flag down V8's cause they dont rev to 10,000 is ignorant. Low rev torque mate. All motors have their place in performance

  • @Paiste402 a short stroke small block can hit 10,000 rpm...

just its not needed and wears parts out twice as fast as 5000 rpm

  • @mageac

yea only if it makes power to that RPM, which is pushing it really. If it hits peak power at 8000 then why keep going?

  • @Paiste402 the short stroke big bore v8s can make power at a pretty high rpm. v8s run out of rpm because the heads start choking it out. but with a shorter stroke engine with a big bore you can fit heads with bigger valves and the short stroke leads to less piston speeds.

although it is better to just have a longer stroke, make the same hp at 5000 rpm and have it last for half a million miles

  • @Paiste402 there are v8's that rev to and past 10,000. and the displacement of rotary engines is off, because ignition happens usually three times for a full rotation, so the displacemnt is three times what it says, so a 1.3 RX-8 is actually 3.9, not very efficient when you think of it like that. the only advantage a rotory has is size and thermodynamics, so a turbo works well with it. V8 are amazing engines and make an amazing sound...SLS, 458 italia!

  • @RAMBQNER

"ignition happens usually three times for a full rotation"

Actually, it's once per rotation per rotor.

Also, I disagree about the displacement... I don't think it really counts because there's no way a rotary engine could ignite all 3.9L inside it becaues it's just different stages in one ignition cycle, whereas a piston engine could theoretically fire all cylinders at the same time for the full displacement.

Ok, I'm done nitpicking now :)

  • @oilburnin only thing rotary has ever done is annoy me with maintenance and and made me poor with its appetite for gas... but im just saying

  • @oilburnin Thats funny, don't top fuel cars have v8 engines...and not rotaries?

  • @oilburnin well v8s are good at actually keeping oil inside, which is a plus

  • @oilburnin show me a rotary or a diesel with several thousand horsepower (that isn't so big that it only fit in a truck) ... then you can rant on about "how bad you think v8's are"

Rotary, diesel V6, V8 or V12 etc, I like em. Who really cares where your power is from, if you build a fast car, that's cool. If you argue and call people stupid childish names for something you don't own, maybe you need to reevaluate yourself.

  • @oilburnin i like you lol

  • @oilburnin isn't the fastest STREET LEGAL car in the world a V8 (red victor 1)??? how about most dragsters??? Ya V8's are so slow lol

  • @oilburnin

many ferraris use v8. bmw m5 is switching to v8. bugatti veyron has 2 v8s. some f1 cars use v8. v8 is more reliable than rotary. hate to disappoint you but v8 is better than a rotary in terms of power, and reliability

  • @oilburnin If your pecious rotary is so unbeatable then why did I just watch it explode...

  • yeah that rotory engine is fucked it stoped in an instant

  • wow, just like the ones that rolled off the showroom flow

  • thats so gay y did it have to blow

  • Yeah some not all mate you try getting a 1.3 litre to do what 13b can

  • i prefer a boxer engine

  • You prefer men also.

  • piston engines make 1hp per cubic inch rotarys make 1.3hp per cubic inch theres the diffence..And why have what every one else has? Get noticed get a rota!

  • lol some piston engines make 2hp for ci. Try getting a rotor to do that.

  • They have beaten already, many times.

  • yeah i agree all this rotary hoodoo dont beat a big beefey v8!

  • what the hell is a rotary engine compared to an internal combustion cylinder engine? i stick to the tried and trusted cylinder engines for all my cars.

  • Small engine, high revvs and high performance. Low weight as well. Great engines.

  • so its like a turbo charged internal cumbustion engine? light and powerful? sweet. how big do they come?

  • 2.6L 4 rotor

  • I know you probably found out long ago but the largest one Mazda made was 2.0L and had about 300HP stock They're not always turbocharged either, but the most common ones are 1.3L "13B" engines which make about 150HP when not turbo (stock) and about 280HP when turbo (stock). You can get almost 250HP from them without a turbo though, through porting. (similar to changing cam timing)

  • its a mechanical fuel system supercharged rota, when the burst panel blew out from a backfire the car stalls as the mechanical fuel system also cannot deliver anymore fuel, its pretty instant shit, and guess what the motor was fine

  • Wow.

  • I have never heard ANY engine come to a halt that quick. He really did a good job fucking up that poor rotary. Ah well...

  • Is that one of the pistons I hear flying away? Or just the engine coming to a dead halt.

  • it doesnt have any pistons.

  • Not sure what else to call them *having brain fart* I mean one of the triangular discs. Sorry.

  • lol no worries. There actually called rotors

  • Durpdeydurp *facepalm*
