I also feel a strong itch while I'm trying to sleep which keeps me awake for a few nights at a time, and I'm constantly reaching under the blanket to scratch my toes, or when I stand still for too long (such as doing dishes or taking a shower). Sometimes just the position of my foot or toes increases the itchiness. Wearing socks every second of the day from December through February is crucial for me. Thank you for this video.
@MrDreamturkey I feel your pain, i had the same problem since i was a kid, i'm 24 now and my fingers and toes are swollen as i'm writing this -.- basically you cant sleep when they're hot and itchy.. once i tried soaking them in freezing water it was a bad idea, they're fine in the water but as long as you pull them out they start itching again.
one method i found effective is when they itch and you cant sleep, soak them in hot water.. as hot as you can take..
@MrDreamturkey and keep them in until the water starts to cool and your feet or hands feels numb, after that dry them and go right away to sleep and keep them warm :)
@87MONOLITH I never thought about soaking my feet in hot water after getting out of the shower. Sounds like an idea. Thanks! Better than using a steak knife, lol. By the way, I hope you can recover from your Chilblains soon. Nothing worse than trying to sleep with this problem.
@MrDreamturkey haha you're right sometimes you just wish you can cut them off lol but this method should help if it happend and you couldnt sleep :) and thanks i hope so too :)
I've been battling something since the age of 18, and it's gotta be Chilblains because the symptoms are exactly what I'm experiencing. In my case, the toes gradually get red and swollen rather inconsistently, but the WORST part by far is the itchiness after I step out of a steamy shower on a really cold night in January or February. My toes itch so bad that I have to scrape something sharp against them and almost cut into my skin. Only in the winter does this problem exist. A swollen itch.
Guys mine are fine now, the cream seemed to work! However I got told I will have them for 5 years straight :(.
My advice is keep your FEET WARM!

@TheHabbo210 lol who told you that? hahaha 5 years straight? not 8?(..)

@frizstyler The doctor said they should go in 5 years time basically appear every so often, not permanently.
