Absolutely wonderful version of The River. I think the SSB version is far superior the original, but that's just me. I actually uploaded another live recording from this tour, check it out if you like this one :)

love the seeger sessions band, but i must say i prefer the original by a long way. but thats not to insult this version. as androydnyc says, it takes some courage to do something like this, and i would much rather see them go for it. there's plenty other songs he's reworked which i've loved, such as "further up the road". would love to see them tour again!

awh man he played this on the saturday night in dublin, i thought they might of put it on the dvd....great version of it, i got chills listening to it with my girlfriend!!! its amazing that wen music is arranged so beautifully like this it can make you feel like that!!thanks bruce i'll cya in may in the dublin

Wow! This has always been on of Springsteen's finest songs....even as far back as nearly 30 years ago. This Celitic-tinged version gives the original a run for its money.
