its quite fast, + its almost 100% you wont make mistake.. with the same system i can multiply 4x4 or 5x5 even 6x6 by just multiplying and adding 1-digit numbers :)

No it's correct. 56088 is the answer for 123 * 456. There's just different ways of doing this stuff. After you get used to it, it can save a whole lot of time if you are without a calculator...
