Well, it's Hollywood, so it's more like a bizarre caricature of real life which is why Hollywood is full of dangerous, crazy people. Since working in film isn't a real job, they become overly harsh in trying to emulate a real job, and so they think that this punishment is what really happens. Add that to the fact that Saban is an eccentric company (just check out the surrealist butcher job they did on Kyatto Ninden Teyandee) and you get plenty of uncomfortable moments.

wow when the kid says that if the power rangers think school is cool, then so do i. thats when i had to pause the video for a sec. to process what i just heard. i cannot believe what i just heard, the cheesiest line ever said. in the real high schools of today, he would get beat up for saying that.
