i believe that the small percent that run everything in usa are gonna suck up all the money they can and use capitalism for their own goals and fuck up the economy for the rest of us, it already happened but yet another financial crisis is up ahead which will really turn things upside down. Once many become homeless socialism will seem like a good thing,and in theory it is not so bad and neither is capitalism but in corrupt hands everything gets fucked up.

The system as you mentioned is great, the problem has been in the practical application of Marxist principles. True Socialism, true Marxism stands against censorship but promotes freedom of speech.

It would be nice to incorporate principles such as free speech, an efficient public healthcare system, quality education and a fair justice system, among others and balanced with free enterprise (regulated against excessive power) and democratic unions. Just an opinion. Regards!

As a missionary to Cuba since 1979, I'd have to say you are only half correct. They are not dying of hunger, but mothers can't sleep at night as they worry about where they will get food for the next day. Their diets are not complete, they simply search for anything that will fill their stomachs. The educational system is not the best, but the price is right.

Health care is good for a communist country, but there is no medication available for those who need it.

I think you are right about how communism don´t work because of human factors. But the exact same goes for completely unregulated capitalist market economy systems as well. Greed will lead to monopolies on too many markets, corruption, oligarchy, end eventually a full blown fascist state wich works out just as bad for the people as a communist state. Semi-socialist countries in the Nordic states of Europe have a better quality of life and more freedom than the US, from a study by the UN.

Every country needs to have a few socialist institutions even if you had free (taxed) health care like the UK you would still be a very capitalist nation like the UK.

In communism :

1.- The education is" FREE", because the money is FALSE.

2.- The medice is "FREE", because the money is FALSE.

At the end, you have to PAY as a SLAVE, because you are property of the goverment. The American people can't imagine how the people lose the liberty living in communism.The key of all is destroying everything to take all power; be careful, because they are intelligent working underground , besides they have enough patience.

I've seen our liberties whittled away to make room for socialism. The Constitutional free market system is gone. In its place is a boated growing social experiment gone mad. Government and corporations are intermixing as was warned by Rand and Friedman. Things will get much worse.

Wow, I am also Cuban and was thinking the same thing could it happen here too in the US? Like it did in my country Cuba. I was only 2 when I left but I do know how bad thingsgot their some even throw themselves into shark infested waters to escape communism!! I am glad you were able to get out. Hi AnonymousView. Cuba, under Batista was a dictatorship but not as bad as it would get with Castro.  The embargo did not put people in jails for speaking their minds. The embargo did not kill, firing squad style any opposition opinion. The embargo did not eliminate all free press.

I will take up arms(not guns) with the right people but a binding of ideas together for a purpose of not allowing our country fall into dispair, beyond what we have now. I keep hoping this is all temporary. We need to get back to true capitalism, making something for a profit, not bilking the american community.
