I just wish documentaries broadcast on terrestrial tv were this well made: they are so content free in comparison: it can be done well (like this), to be informative, rivetting, inspiring.. but so rarely is, in our sound bite led "reality" "culture": dominated by "pseud" broadcasters who have lost the plot!
You know, given the intricacy of some of the paintings around at that time. I'm wondering why no one ever though to have professional artists do paintings of the stars. I mean they wouldn't have been 100% actuate. Probably a lot less, but I think they still could have captured the essence of the experience.
excellent video. although I find it a little odd that there is more emphasis on William Herschel discovering Uranus than him discovering that our galaxy is flat. This and infrared radiation seem to dwarf the discovery of a planet in our solar system. All in all great works themselves. Thanks for posting this video.
