@ead1529 Am just reading 'Gilliam on Gilliam,' and he says when first commissioned to make an animated film in the UK he remembered Vanderbeek's 'Nixon film' and decided to use cut-outs.

That was fantastic! Very angry...very angry. You could set this to Devo albums. It's very heavy against the '50s arms race, the bomb, American consumerism and pop culture...and definitely influenced by LSD trips, like so much of the independent animation I've seen. This is really brilliant stuff.
